Hell i read GOF and was going WTF watching the movie, and kept yelling at the screen.  And i agree, first time i saw Umbridge, i thought no way in hell would she do her character justice. She just looks too "nice"

I give it a 8/10. @ points off because we never got to really know the Luna charcter. This is import fro those who havent read the books and yes they do exist and other minor bits like no dobby and not getting to meet Madam Black. It was way better than GOF but as OOTP being the longest book the movie could have moved a lot closer to the 3 hour mark. WE also did not get to see the centaur replace Trawlaney nor did we have the full show down with the herd in the forbidden forest.

Fred and George's exit while not true to the book completely was spectacular. There was only one brief scene of Harry being the subject of Umbridge's line punishment. There was no explination of how Harry's neighbor knew what was going on and that she was a squib. Personally i feel the director has to rememeber that there are people who havent read the book and that sometimes you have to have a bit more story going on for the sake of the film. Dudley's change from face stuffign brat to fat bully was right on the mark. The movie was right on the money for the most part right now to Mrs Wesley trying to sheild Harry from the Order and all that badness surrounding him. Bealitrix's portrayal was acurate and a lil disturbing very good job. I am upset we didn't get to see more of Tonks and Remus.

And something that hit me when watching Luna and Harry at the end,Luna tells harry that her mother used to say the things we lose have a way of comming back to us sometimes. Now i know i am gonna get yelled out and have JK's qoute of dead is dead tossed at me but the movie clearly shows serious getting struck and hit with the killing curse and then falling into the veil. Now mind you this just speculation, but isn't just possible falling through actually keep sirius from dying?

I have to look it up but there is a fanfic with this same theory. its also slash and a sirius/harry fic but thats  a side matter. The point is its entirely possible that Sirius is alive, but just trapped on the other side.

Oh and for all you snape fans you'll be happy to knwo he makes a very hot broody teenager :P

I enjoyed the movie, but wish they'd had the courage to make it longer so that they could fit more in. It felt like every second was a nod to something in the book that they coudln't flesh out. Thought Imelda Staunton did an awesome job as Umbridge.

Me again. I still think Azkaban was by far the best of the movies, and I hope they tap that director again.

I really enjoyed the movie. I was glad that they did show some of Snapes teen years as it explains quite a bit of why he dislikes Harry so much. By the end of the movie I personally wanted to jump through the screen and choke the life out of Umbridge! I totally adored Luna and I kind of hope she and Harry get together. I thought Bellatrix was kind of cool even though she did kill Sirius.[&:]

I loved the movie. Saw it yesterday.

Like DC said, I wish they had made it longer. Put more stuff in. And Staunton was scary the way she played Umbridge. Gave me goosebumps.
