Status: offline 		Hey everyone! Someone in my area has wireless internet (I think it's the cafe up the street), that means free internet for me, woohoo!
I know that I have missed a lot, but I'm back now and ready to jump back in with both feet!

Status: offline 		Normally I get my internet through the school, but school let out in May so I haven't had access. But I decided on an impulse to plug my wireless internet card in and much to my shock I was able to access a network!

*sigh* It's good to be back

Status: offline 		Is that legal...lol? I won't tell, but are you saying that if someone nearby is running a wireless network, that you can access through it? We haven't made the switch to wireless yet, although Master has been talking about it because we have so many computers and the wires are getting out of hand.

Status: offline 		I was talking to the girl across the hall and she said the only people she knows of that have open networks are places that allow their customers to access the internet anyway. We live on a street with quite a few cafes and about 6 art galleries so I think it's one of them. And the way I see it, if someone was uneducated enough to open a personal net work without a firewall or anything deserves to have me logging on

Ug, that's a bad question to ask. They gave me the lowest possible grade and rejected it as my main thesis, I have to start over. Now they are telling me that I am not ready for graduation......

When I am not at school I live in a nice little apartment on a lovely bohemian street with art galleries and cafes, right up the road from a park and the public library on the "good side" of the street, I am the rising star at my job and am a regular at the local irish pub, but when I'm at school I'm the one that's not so smart and not ready for the "real world". Go figure.

Status: offline 		Like Siamsa says, If some one puts up a open network, then they are inviting anybody to use it. I live in a subdivision and there are five wireless networks in range. I've the only one that is secured. I can log on to my nieghbors network anytime I wish. Not a lot of legality about it. Now if I cracked an administators profile and started stealing their data for any reason, then there would be legal issues. So I'll make to suggestions to you stormsfate any any bodt else. If you and your Master are looking at wireless. The Dlink 108 is the fastest network on the market thus far and when you do set it up, secure it with WEP encryption.

I missed all of you, the people around here are interesting, but in a very different way (it's common to hold wine and cheese parties here, for example, and everyone is some kind of struggling artist)
