This sucks big time.  But on the positive side, it recruits the slave work force we haven't had in a long time.

I have great respect for Canada. Heck- they are practically a 51st state. I have a few Canadian friends. The Canadian people ROCK!

P.A. Hunk, how can they say they "need" visas like these if everyone "knows" that they don't?
Look at all the laid-off IT workers in Calif alone!
If I were a laid-off IT worker in Calif I'd team up with a good law firm and make a bundle sueing those companies!
Why hasn't an aggressive lawyer thought about this I wonder?

the goal seems to be pay salary of 8,000.00; not 60k. i suspected fake ads for may years.

BTW- "medical tourism" is becoming HUGE. You can fly to India- get a heart valve replaced for 12k including hotel and flight. the surgery here is 100k!  if you had no insurance, would you go??? I would. [India is building an entire metro for this very market!!!!!]

America has been sold out. You and I ride the coat tails of the ww2 generation; and most likely- we will be the last generation to live well.

some of the latest info shows that half the H1Bs are going to outsourcing firms based here in the US...

Here goes again, I typed for an hour and lost it all. This will be shorter.

I had connections to where I could've had a job at Ford pushing a broom for $18 per hour. I seen guys make $70,000 a year in foundries, and some steal the lightbulbs. And this was so bad it was worth it to call the elecricians and switch to left handed bulbs. This is FACT folks. I think at $70,000 a year you can afford your own damn lighbulbs.

Then a guy making even more has a garage full of some of the best air conditioners around, compliant with NYC EER requirements and everything. Guess where they came from .

We have no work ethic in this country. Of course some of us do, but on the average, nobody wants to work.

We have managers all over this country who routinely reward their friends and punish their enemies, all this when the are supposed to be operating in the company's best interest.

These results are not surprising. That they want to outsource offshore, is not only a reflection of their betrayal, it is a reflection of our inadequacy.

If you think for a minute that i would include someone on a job that wasn't going to really work, think again. If I were to wind up with a bunch of sloths as depicted on say, the Drew Carey Show, you would see me burying their bodies. (jk). Just where does the profit come from that justifies their paychecks ?

You see that is what we have lost, and what's more, as much as you might admit that, this is alot harder to swallow. It is a basic form of honesty that we have lost.

I know it is not just money, it is more than that. Lewin A.R.W. Edwards did not come to do a $100,000 dollar a year job here for $20,000. You can find his resume online and he has a site, larwe.com.

I don't personally know the Man, but I do personally know two immigrants here, and each started out on an H1B visa. They both work in a technical field. And I know, people who can do what they do can be hard to find. They pay taxes. What more do you want ?

Doing a quickback rereading here I think I am coming off a bit high fallouting. I did not intend that. I am not better than anyone else, I just happen to have some skills that are in demand. And that could change overnight.

And this offshoring or outreaching with US jobs is not new. Take a look at Microsoft. Sure they have offices and such, but a bunch of code is really written in a mansion in the hills. Might feel like a mansion if there weren't 60 people living and working there.

Yup all mansions and gold they were told, and they left their country of old. Now they have to pay off their plane tickets.

It just occurred to me that there is a slight possibility that the world is alright. But then that would mean that I am all wrong.

OK to just get it out now, I know these multinationals are fucking us up the ass every time they get a chance, but WE let them do it. THAT is what I am saying. If we could offer up our young as a strong, intelligent, loyal and dedicated workforce noone in the world could beat us. Well some could, but they, like the Germans and the Swiss, would see us as a tertiary entity, being halfway across the world and all. We would certainly be the leaders of the hemisphere.

Of course I cant really say that, there are some industrious peoples here.

So why are US companies flocking to other countries, either for relocation or recruitment ?

Now LISTEN UP, these people have stockholders to which to answer. Even the bosses have bigger bosses. Why would they make a concious decision to SPECIFICALLY not hire a US citizen ?

Now let's examine the facts that are so extant they would have taken your face off. One they are charged with making decisions, SPECIFICALLY to make the company the most amount of money. Two, they are SPECIFICALLY looking outside the US. I don't need ten fucking wiki articles, four links to gov websites from the FOIA, shit like that, these things are totally obvious.

This is going to keep bouncing down there, into the question, WHY ?

Well my friends, there is a good reason for that. And I'll let it stand with that.

But I'll give you this too, get on Google and search for "America by the numbers". The Minneapolis City Pages should be in the first page of results. Check it out.

Why do they SPECIFICALLY want to get foreigners ?

Think about it.
