Schedule for the day

MAGICAL EXPOSITIONAL THEATRE The Magical Exposition Theatre, located at one end of Diagon Alley, is free and open to Muggles of all ages throughout the event.

1:00-1:30 PM Raziel the Reptileologist
Join the Reptileologist, Raziel, for a slithering review. No heir of Slytherin, Raziel instead speaks of the innate beauty of her reptiles.

1:30-2:00 PM Defense Against the Dark Arts Demonstration
The martial art Aikido was developed not as a fighting technique but as a way to center oneself mentally and physically against attack. Aikido of Maine will demonstrate their defensive moves against the acts of dark wizards.

2:00-3:00 PM Peter Boie, Magician for Non-Believers (aka Muggles)
Still skeptical, my dear Muggle, about the existence of magic? After an hour with nationally acclaimed magician, Peter Boie, you will indeed believe in a parallel world of magic.

3:00-3:30 PM Defense Against the Dark Arts Demonstration

- NOTE: This show is limited to 30 people because of the needs of the owls. To enter you must hold a ticket drawn when you entered MuggleFest.

4:15-4:45 PM Owls: How to Understand Your Feathered Postal Worker

5:30-6:00 PM Muggle Technology Lecture: Contemplate the Toaster
How do those Muggles do it? How do they live without magic? Professor Flabbergast, a worldwide lecturer on Muggle customs and former head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts office, will do a demonstration of muddled Muggle technology.

6:00-7:00 PM Muggle Games
Attention all Muggles! After a day at MuggleFest, we test your memory for all things magical.

7:00-7:30 PM Wizard Look-Alike Contest
Whether you are Muggles in disguise, pure blooded witches and wizards, squibs, or otherwise, line up! There will be prizes awarded in countless categories to Muggles in costume. Come as Snape! Come as a hippogriff! Come as the snitch!

7:30-8:00 PM Snakes Are Not Just for Slytherin (Anymore)
Snakes, maligned in the magic world because of their alignment to You-Know-Who and Salazar Slytherin, have been long misunderstood. The mysterious reptile man, Bill Reagan, helps us understand the real lives of snakes and other reptiles. Bill's many reptiles (including the 17 foot one) come by the generosity of New England Reptile Distributors.

8:00-8:30 PM Cerulean (Rocks the Wizard World)
Just in from Rock Camp, Cerulean will blast out the classic tunes before they hit the Hogwarts Express for their summer of music. Featuring the "Boy That Lived" on bass.

Never before seen by Muggles is the madcap interview show—Muggles Are Amazing. Broadcast all over the wizard world by Studio Floo, this reality show has become the talk of London. Host Malkazar Mallatone talks with Muggles live about their mundane, non-magical lives (before giving them patented Malkazar Memory Charm). Join Malkazar in the studio audience—perhaps you will be his next guest!

9:30-10:00 PM I Put a Spell on You: Belly Dancing with Naya's Trance
Fall under the spell of the dances of the Middle East. Naya's Trance dancers will demonstrate the enchantment of belly dancing and take a few limber souls through the steps. A fine way to get ready for the Yule Ball.

10:00 PM–1:00 AM Yule Ball
No better way to await the final hours until the release of the seventh Harry Potter book than to slip into your formal robes and dance yourself silly. Madcap fun throughout the night, including the crowning of Head Boy and Head Girl.
HOGWARTS EXPRESS 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
The Hogwarts Express will run continuously between Hogsmeade Station (The East End Beach at Cutter Street) to London's King Cross Station (The Portland Company Complex at 58 Fore Street). Run time is 20 minutes. Check with the station manager at either station for the ETA of the next train. No ticket required.
DIAGON ALLEY

1:00 PM - 1:00 AM
The following businesses will be on Diagon Alley. Their wares and activities will be open throughout MuggleFest. Entry to each shop is free unless otherwise noted. Several non-profits are behind storefronts running activities as a fundraiser for their organizations. Those storefronts are just one galleon or $1 to enter and do the activity.

Flourish & Blotts Bookstore
(Known in the Muggle world as—Books Etc.)
Stock up on the very best of magical books to fill the painful void once Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is finished.

Hogwarts School of Wizardry Recruiting Office
(Known in the Muggle world as—Breakwater School)
The children of wizard families and muggle-borns are welcome to fill out an application and take a short standardized test for admittance to Hogwarts. Because of the recent crush of applicants, children will be pre-sorted by the Sorting Hat in the office after taking their test. Good luck!

The Leaky Cauldron Inn
(Known in the Muggle world as -- Bull Feeney's)
The proprietor will be serving up wizard fare and Margarine Mead ("I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Beer") from the bar. Belly on up.

Slug & Jiggers Apothecary

Graduates of Beauxbatons Academy will be offering advice on and products for everything from having the skin of a goddess to how to ward off monsters with sprays and creams.

(Known in the Muggle world as—Children’s Museum of Maine's Explore Store) Choose your owl for deliveries to places long ago and faraway. An array of owls of many shapes, sizes, and delivery speeds for sale.

Obscurus Books
(Known in the Muggle world as—Casablanca Comics)
The publisher opens its doors to dabble in retail sales. There will be comics, card games, t-shirts, and more obscure items for even the oddest of customers.

Diagon Alley Housing Authority
(Known in the Muggle world as—Habitat for Humanity) Choose your house, pull together a team and go head to head with your rivals in a round of wizard tic-tac-toe. To find the outcome of your game or future, head to the back of the store for a palm reading. Entry: One Galleon or $1

Quality Quidditch Supplies
(Known in the Muggle world as—Portland West) Have your picture taken on the Quidditch pitch just as you reach for the snitch. Entry: One Galleon or $1

St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies & Injuries
(Known in the Muggle world as—Barbara Bush Children's Hospital) Stop by to be treated for creature-induced injuries or the dreaded "artifact accident." Visit the bedside of a befuddled Professor Lockhart and see if you can get him to remember anything from his time at Hogwarts.

Daily Prophet
(Known in the Muggle world as—The Forecaster)
Stop by for your event guide to MuggleFest. And be careful—you might just become Rita Skeeter's next feature story.

Those who have pre-ordered their copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows with Books Etc. or online here may line up in the book delivery room to hear local bands. Follow the signs to the secret room at 10:00 PM and listen for Chipped Enamel and The Delta Knights.
