You would think after living in canada for 20 years, I would be used to the extremes of temperatures, I am a snow bunny, I love the cold the snow, being a Brit I can cope with rain and fog, but I have enormous issues with heat, enough alreadyyyyyyyyyyy IM MELTINGGGGGGGG. I just checked out the temperature on the local station and according to them we are up at 34 C with humidex up at 45 C thats 94/112 farenheit.  Bugger that for a game of soldiers, Im off for a coool shower
hows the weather affecting you????
Hotly
Lucy

The heat is ungodly here in Pennsylvania. 85% humidity which is the kicker. i can feel the sun biting me when out. mom had skin cancer- so- i no longer bask in the sun or those booths.

i cranked up the AC.  i am chugging water to stay hydrated - but then i do so all the time.

any chores can wait.

so- i look forward to what we call "indian summer"- just before autumn.

Send the heat back. i need one of those dorky hats with the flaps. the melanoma can be getentic. moms surgery was expensive. my grandfather had it too.

Turned off the air today and opened up the house.  It is only 86 currently.  Down from 98 yesterday.  Which isn't so bad but we also have the sweltering humidity to contend with as well.

Today was a great day for being outside.  I built the flower box for my deck.  Been in and out all day long.

So glad I didn't have to work today...yuck!  I hate the hot weather and we need rain so very bad.  I have given up on flowers till next year, and the lawn is all dead.

Hey!!  Another one like Me!!

I ~~LOVE~~ winter.  I love the cold.  It can never be too cold for Me.  And I love the snow.  I do not do any winter sports, but love the snow anyways.  When I tell people this, they look at Me like I have totally lost My mind.

They try to convince Me that summer is fun.   Yeah, riiiiiiight........   What is so much fun about the heat, the humidity, the heat,  all those nasty creepy, crawly, biting and stinging bugs, and, oh, did I mention the heat and humidity??  You call all of that "fun"??   You  *must*  be warped.   I have the reverse of  "SAD" (Seasonal Affective Disorder).   I start feeling down in late winter, knowing that summer (and all of its accompanying heat, humidity, and bugs) are coming soon.  I start to perk up once again in early fall, knowing that the cold and snow will soon be here.   Yup, I'm unusual.  I never said I wasn't.

Fortunately, this place has A/C.   That is "air conditioning".  Not "alternating current", not one half of "AC/DC".    <<grins>>   I  would be horribly nasty bitchy without it.   Working up a sweat just by drinking iced tea while sitting in front of a fan on high  is not a nice way to spend one's time.

When I win the lottery, I will be able to spend My summers in Anartica (sp?).   Then come back and spend the winters here.

You don't have an air conditioner?

nope, no A/C...the windows in this place aren't built for an A/C unit & the portable ones cost $400 & up...if i wasn't sick, i could go back up to Mom's where there is central A/C....except in my bedroom upstairs where it gets really freakin hot!!!

We hit 111, 3 days last week, with humidity, its in the  90s for a decent part of this week with no humidity, then we get the heat and humidity back.

What are the rest of you complaining about?? Its 90 when I leave the house at 7am.
