I enjoy things that are adjustable and can raise and lower your helplessness.  When I was beginning in play, I remembered the feeling of constraint when I wore water wings as a kid.  I tried to re-imagine this into bondage restraints by using bike tire inner-tubes in place of shackles for my sub.  An adapter on the end of Air-in-a-can, and I was ready to go.  I never found a way to really make this work for my partner.  The twists in the tubes would pinch her, and I had difficulty making fine adjustments on the air pressure.

Has anybody ever seen or used inflatable shackles?  Do you enjoy them?

MAST splints used to be the rage with EMS squads...  You might find them cheaper on eBay:  http://www.buyemp.com/category/MAST-Pants.html

Gel filled, keyboard rests...

with an adjustable nylon strap glued to its outside, might give a waterlogged version of that feeling?

Finding them in the right lengths would be the hard bit, since they might start oozing if cut to length.

I've considered making something like an inverse vac bed.  Sleeping bag sort of thing with plastic bladders inside that could be inflated to immobilise the person inside.  Cloth bags to limit the total volume of the inflatable parts would be a good idea maybe.

Thanks this is the sort of thing I was looking for.  Has anybody tried inflatable restraints?  Do they add to a scene, or are they just a novelty.
