Fair enough, but the problem is we see ourselves as we want to see ourselves
We do?   I'd like to think that even if we did, our desire/reality would meet within close proximity of one another.

Someone who is anorexic for example will have a s/n that misght say eatstoomuchslut or some such nonsense. However she ,in real life would get blown away in a gust of wind
I've got nothin'...  This isn't a disorder I'm very familiar with obviously.
quote:

As a side question; If a picture is worth a thousand words, and our s/n's are our depictions of ourselves what are they worth?
I'll get back to this question after I've had a couple of drinks maybe.    M

softy has been my nickname since i was about 12 ... but it was ironic until i was say 19 or so (was a huge tomboy in my youth not girly at all) ... when i woke up to my feminine side the nickname stuck

My real name is Stephan.  "Stephan" on this site, was taken by a Nigerian slave.  Grrr.

Mine comes from a quote in the David Bowie song, "Velvet Goldmine".

"Velvet Goldmine you stroke me like the rain.
Snake it, take it.  Panther princess, you must stay,
Velvet Goldmine, naked on your chain.
I'll be your king volcano, writhe for you time and again,
my Velvet Goldmine."

I love Bowie and I loved the imagery.
