Hello fellow Jedi Master, although I knew what all the answers were and was able to intentionally make it that way. I guess that just makes me a Star Wars geek, oh the shame, the shame [:D]

Nothing wrong with being a star wars geek.

And apparently I'm more the "hey I've got a uber-sweet speedy space ship and a big ol' blaster" kinda guy as opposed to the whole light sabre thing.

And honestly, when it comes down to girls with crazy hair, Leia's dual bagel effect was much less crazy than anything from Episodes I-III. Thus my retroactive Leia lust is justified. Umm, I mean, uh, never mind.

Although on the whole star wars topic;

There's a fine line between being a fan, and going off the deepend. Being that I'm perilously close to said line at times, I'll just avoid defineing it.

Did you not notice the nod towards this hairstyle in Episode III? I believe it is when Pademe and Anakin are talking and she tells him that she is pregnant.

Perhaps it is also due to the fact that Pademe still looks like she is about 12 and Leia always looked like a grown woman, but that's just my opinion.
Oh, the other thing could be that they let George Lucas got to write the dialoge for Episodes I, II and III without the benefit of people editing his work. George Lucas is a great writer, but his dialoge sucks. I can't even watch the whole second movie, I have to fast forward through much of the crappy dialoge. At least in Episodes IV, V and VI he had someone looking over his shoulder and fixing all the boring, sappy, and stupid stuff. This may have something to do with liking Leia better then Pademe, she sounds smarter and not so idiotic and mushy.

Whew, now if you will excuse me I think my geek is showing and I have to go hide that before work [;)]

Does anyone else recall this??

I have not played back the movie but I distinctly recall Luke & Leia having a conversation about their Mothers... Luke saying he had no memory of her & Leia saying that she remembered her Mother being sad all the time...

I'm wondering if that was a goof in the writing or if the adoptive Mother was Leia's memory??

Yep, sci-fi geek here as well...

I noticed it too, but I kinda wrote it off as another attempt to tie III and IV togther (right in there with the more Stormtrooper like clone armor, the republic fighters looking just a bit more like TIE fighters, etc).

I'll agree to the grown woman comment. That and the whole metal slave bikini thing in Jabba's palace didn't hurt the whole "Leia=hot" mind setting.

Episodes I-III were really painful at times. Episode one didn't seem too bad, but that's because I watched it way back in middle school, when anything and everything star wars had to be awesome. But haveing hindsight, and haveing gone back and watched I and II after seeing III, and all of them have the "oww make it stop it burns!" phases of dialoge.

I think it was less that Lucas is a good writer, and more that he's got lots of great ideas in his head. It's just that those ideas need direction, and someone else to make them more fleshed out, or else we get the terror of Jar Jar, the agony of "no I wub you more," and unintentional hilarity (the "nooooo" in III had me laughing for a few minutes, maybe I'm just a freak).

I remeber hearing that line too, and it bothered me throughout all of III. I suppose if one's just going to cover for Lucas here, I think all Leia says is she remembers her as very beautiful and sad (or distant, I may have watched the movies a few hundred times, but it's been a few years since the last time). I suppose she could have gotten that impression in the 5 minutes Padme lived after haveing the twins. Then again, why didn't Luke have the same memory as he was sorta kinda there for that.

And it appears my inner geek has escaped again. Time to do somthing um. Somthing not geeky.

Actually, according to the original story Leia did not have an adopted mother. Bail Organa was not married at the time that she was adopted (or at least no wife is mentioned). She was raised by Bail Organa as his actual daughter and had no knowledge that she was adopted. Perhaps Bail Organa was married at one time and Leia remembers his wife, but a wife was not mentioned in any of the books or comic books that I know of.
It is also possible to transmit feelings through the force, an apptitude that Leia proves to be more successful at then Luke, it is said to be a bond between mother and child. She may have been more connected through to force to her mother and can therefore remember her mother and her mother's feeling, but that's a long shot.

Another thing that has been bothering me is this. I seem to remember reading that Owan and Beru were Obi Wan's brother and his wife. It was in one of the books (I think), but I don't remember which one. Does any one else recall this?
