atWhen you come to a movie titled HARRY POTTER : ORDER OF THE PHOENIX do not bitch about the fact that there are kids there. don't want kids around? WAIT TIL ITS OUT ON DVD

ok that being said OOTP was a good movie.

instynctive -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 12:33:14 PM)

It was a great book.. can't wait to see the movie...

SoftKajira -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 12:36:28 PM)

lol don't you hate that? I saw some jackass complaining about kids in shrek 3.

CrimsonMoan -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 12:38:21 PM)

I won't go as far to say awesome, but still a very good movie. Its also given me a new theory in regards to Sirius' "death" i put in my movie review on my OOTP thread but i'll share it here. ther other time we saw the killing curse applied it was instantaneous. This beign the case of Cedric Digory. Bealltrix hits sirius he falls into the veil and is gone, but heres the thing we don't see from which side of the veil archway the strike comes from. It could be possible faling into the veil when he did when he was still alive despite the curse prevented him from dying and he's just trapped on the other side. This is just speculation of course, but hey thats the whole point.

Yeah.. Sirius isn't dead.. not yet.

You can't kill Gary Oldman with a Buick.

CrimsonMoan -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 12:42:38 PM)

HAHAHAHA true very true, but watching it happen it hit me that we don't actually see him die. I mean I know they say there is no comming back from the other side of the veil but if anyone was gonna be so stubborn to figure it out it would be padfoot. And unfortunately i may now have a thign for young snape. The actor they picked for the flashback was just soooo yummy.

{fast reply}

I recall days when parents actually taught kids to behave while in public... especially in cases where silence was golden. If kids failed to act properly in public, the parents would correct their behavior or politely excuse themselves & apologize as they left.

I know that if any of us (when children) were to act up while in a movie theater, one or both parents would escort us post haste out of the theater (as a courtesy to the others) so that the distraction (noisey kid) would be removed.

Why is it now ok for parents to let their kids yell, scream & misbehave thus ruining it for everyone else out enjoying their enterntainment?  Is that 9 bucks a pop you dropped at the door really worth blowing the evening of... let's say, the other 100 or so folks who also dropped 9 bucks each at the door?

Really who should be the ones waiting for it to come out on DVD?

(just for the record... I love children, have no problem with them laughing at the movie or interacting in ways that are completely normal & expected... my comments were about the ones that, well... you know... those blessed little darlings that you just want to...)

LaTigresse -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 12:58:35 PM)

That is kinda my feelings on the matter. If the kids cannot behave then they should be kept at home until they learn their manners.

It is the way I was raised, my children were raised and how my grandchildren are being raised. My children are proud when they receive compliments from the good behaviour of 3 and 4 yo boys. My daughter even got a free meal from an appreciative restaurant owner once.

CrimsonMoan -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 1:01:29 PM)

Un LA when they showed up the previews had started and not one of the kids who btw where mostly teen did anythign to distrupt the movie. This woman came in with a bad attitude to a movie that of course kids were gonna be at. According to what i overheard and this was from right behidn here as 1240 in the afternoon during the summer there were other places for them to be than in her way. The youngest there was 9 -10 all the other youngsters were preteens and teens.

Right... that's what I'm talking about

So what happened LaTigresse? Did I miss the memo?

CrimsonMoan -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 1:13:06 PM)

and as I said if there had been a reason to complain i wouldn't have blamed her. Hell the adults were talking more than the teens were. Yes i knwo there are nosiy kids in the world, but you know what if you don't want to deal with it you don't have to go to the movies. Hell better yet pick a day thats not prone to lots of kids being there otherwise just grin and bear it

LaTigresse -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 1:17:28 PM)

And her presumed sexuality had WHAT to do with any of this?

like I've said before, I've applied my soap opera logic to Sirius' death:  I won't believe it until I see the body.

Inquiring minds would like to know...

AquaticSub -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 2:33:13 PM)

I was in DC over the weekend. I went to see an IMAX show with my Aunt. It was about sharks. Even though it was at the National History Musuem, you still had to pay 8 bucks to get in. Hey they gotta make money somehow, I certainly don't care.

But I do care that for the entire movie (about an hour) I heard the four year old next to me screaming about the fishies and saying "I don't want to!" whenever her mother told her to be quiet. Then her sister (I'm guessing two) starting really screaming. I glared at both parents. Everyone in the theater was glaring at them.

I really don't blame the kids. They are too young to know better. It's the job of the parent to teach them!

darchChylde -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 3:42:44 PM)

yeah.. i got really annoyed when people loudly complained about all the kids at the theater watching "South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut"...it was so bad that 90 percent of the parents who brought their kids were gone in the first 10 minutes of the movie

angelslave77 -> RE: To The Angry Lesbian **** The Movies (7/11/2007 4:20:49 PM)

I cant wait to see Harry Potter, and to read the new book
