I resisted the temptation to title this thread 'cow farts',but on UK tv yesterday there was actual reference to one of the largest,(larger than human),producers of green house gases, cows and what is one of the bi products of them munching grass. All this hype that we humans are responsible for the rise in green house gases, and all the time the boffins were keeping quiet about cows. But even cows are not the largest producer,I think that accolade goes to the sea.

Why is it human kind seems fit to label itself as the ones responsible for climate change,do we think that we have that much impact on our planet.Hell,to reinstall balance, the planet could destroy us easily, after all we are just another life form like so many others here. Why are we so arrogant?

...old news. Bovine flatulence has been known as a producer of greenhouse gases for some time. It's no secret. However, just because there is a naturally occuring source of these gases it doesn't follow that the human/industrial effect is meaningless. Fuzzy logic i'm afraid. We are just another life form, but to discount our unique ability to build greenhouse emitting technologies is disingenuous.

We are arrogant for claiming humans are at fault for greenhuse gases? As in, we act like this is bragging rights? Um well, I guess we can brag since cows have poor speaking and writing skills. I dont see that changing in the near future. lol
