I am bored, so here is a dumb question for the Masters' out there.    subs/slaves feel free to answer as well.   I am just curious.

How do you like your sub/slave to smell?    I don't mean "down there", just in general.     Do you prefer perfume, or just a nice clean showered smell?

a~

Edited because I can't spell tonight.

Clean showered. Baby shampoo is a plus, for me at least.

He prefers the shampoo and conditioner I've used.  I've tried different kinds since then since I don't like gunk to build up, but my original fave is always his fave.

And I prefer a very specific brand of vanilla (OK so I've spent $90 on ebay buying the original Vanilla Bean B&B Works scent that they stopped making in 99) and we both love that.

Otherwise- no scent at all.  Blech, can't stand any of them.  Just me and my own pheremones.

Maybe a hint of cologne or something, but generally just like clean flesh and soap. I will occasionally use a hint of citron or vanilla on myself if I'm in an outside or well vented area but around here everyone is very scent cautious for those with asthma or emphysema. My work place specifically had a no scent policy, and I know some drugstores that refuse to sell perfumes or body sprays.

~fast reply~

Master prefers just a clean, freshly showered smell.
So, today I was in the store and they had some samples of body spray.   I couldn't resist, silly me.   I tried one that was rasberry melon or something similar, and sprayed it on my inner forearm.

I came home and had Master smell my arm to see if he liked it.  Big Mistake..lol
He wrinkled up his nose and said, " that is awful, have you been rolling in cow shit?"
lol.

It really didn't smell very good, it was horribly fruity...duh!      And I can still smell it.

I like a clean smell or a light fragrance on men and women.  I'm really not into heavy colognes and scents.

Little side note to LA, the same thing happened with me and the Lilac scent B&B Works also discontinued around 1998 or 99.  I stumbled across a clearance sale in NYC and bought all the remaining Lilac stock.....at the store that was then in the World Trade Center.

I love the smell of coconut.    I am going to B&B works on Friday with a friend.   I am wanting to get some bubble bath...something relaxing.

I have heard that lavander is relaxing, but I don't know if they carry it or not.

I just hope Master doesn't make me dump it down the drain.  lol.

Come to think of it, Master has never said anything one way or the other reguarding how I smell....although He seems alot more amorous when I am wearing tanning oil or lotion

Just clean is fine.  Too much artificial stuff, and I'm just likely to get it on my tongue.  (I'm pretty thorough.)

Valyraen doesn't really care either way about perfumes. He has one scent that he likes, but it's very expensive so I don't wear it much.

I love my sub to have that just showered smell or if we are going out just a hint of cologne.

I read a recent study about perfumes & what men respond to.

Consciously men would say they had no preference other than just being clean (no BO) but in this test it showed that men respond best to scents that smell like food such as vanilla, coconut (those tanning oils), soft subtle florals, musk & citrus...

Heavy perfumes were shown to not be a preference.

I wish I could find the poll... maybe someone else will have better luck searching for it.

I would have to with 'clean shower' and not much else.. but then I like to lick and have ran into the 'deoderant on the tongue' thing more than once. *cringe* . I don't find fresh sweat to be a bad odor.

Yay for stockpiling!

However, their latest incarnation of vanilla (NOT warm vanilla surgar) is actually pretty darn close to the original vanilla bean so I'm ok with using that.

I did a whole LJ entry once on the depth and subtlety of vanilla flavors.
