That's what they're calling John McCain's collapsing campaign now.
They said on the News that he now has less money than Ron Paul.
Gee, still want that Amnesty stuff, Johnny Boy?
Candidates are quickly learning that even mentioning any type of Amnesty for illegal aliens is the "third rail" of politics.
Touch it, you die.
They said McCain is now in 4th place behind Mike Huckaby and dropping fast.
Five of his top campaign managers just quit the other day.
I think I'll make another donation to Ron Paul's campaign!
I hope McCain's campaign stays alive long enough for Ron Paul to overtake him which should be any day now as Ron Paul won the straw poll in New Hampshire and is steadily building up momentum.

..minor hijack, but isn't it sad when political campaigns can be so easily compared on the grounds of finance? X has less money than Y, and so is losing. How did the issues become so irrelevant?

philosophy, it wasn't only the money it's his stances on issues.
Pro Iraq and Pro Amnesty will kill you in politics.
They also said that when he came out "for" amnesty his "small contributers virtually dried up."

Howie Carr of WRKO 680 am Boston calls McCain's campaign "The straightjacket Express." lol

I'm really shocked, but not exactly unhappy, that McCain seems to be going down the drain.

Yay, let the Republicans nominate Tancredo or some ass.

uwinceismile -> RE: "The McCain Wreck" (7/12/2007 6:02:45 PM)

if its not relevant to you,,,,why bother asking?
when i see a thread i dont care about, i dont post,,"i dont care"
i simply dont post at all

L&M, if the Dems nominate Hillary Clinton the Repubs could nominate MICHAEL MOORE and they'll win!

from U.S. News and World Report:

quote:

McCain Advised To Quit The SenateIn U.S. News and World Report's Washington Whispers column, Paul Bedard writes, "Before he falls out of the top tier of GOP White House hopefuls, chief advisers to Sen. John McCain are urging him to quit his day job and become a full-time presidential candidate. 'Just resign,' one says he told McCain. 'Show you're all in.' Advisers say being a senator is a drag. He doesn't have enough time to campaign and raise money. Worse: The issues he has to vote on, like immigration reform, are killers. If McCain takes that advice, here's the game plan: 'Pick three issues conservatives care about and nail them,' says one adviser, 'and attack [Sen.] Hillary Clinton every day. He needs to break out, and becoming the anti-Hillary will work.'"

Lordandmaster -> RE: "The McCain Wreck" (7/12/2007 6:14:33 PM)

I hope we don't get Hillary Clinton, but who the hell knows at this point.  The whole system stinks--and it's not going to change anytime soon, because most people don't even understand what's wrong.  It's like Charlie and the fucking Chocolate Factory.

cyberdude611 -> RE: "The McCain Wreck" (7/12/2007 6:20:38 PM)

After listening to Gore the other day, it made me wonder if he may actually jump in during the coming months. He and Hillary will tear each other apart.

farglebargle -> RE: "The McCain Wreck" (7/12/2007 6:22:50 PM)

I'm not a fan of the guy or anything, but apparently there's a frigate named after his dad, or something...

Bad Juju calling the campaign a "wreck"... Bad Juju....

I truly don't know what Gore is going to do, but if he gets in, and doesn't do anything stupid, he will be the Dems nominee, and possibly the next President.

OMG!!!  I hope like hell he follows this advice --- That way we could get rid of him forever. I'm not sure which one I dislike more.....McCain or Wudy.

hmmmm, (ponders the possibility of gore not doing anything stoopid)

popeye1250 -> RE: "The McCain Wreck" (7/12/2007 7:14:35 PM)

Yeah, that'd be fun to see McCain fold and then see "Wudy" get all flustered as RON PAUL slowly climbs up in the poll numbers like he's doing now!
That Amnesty stuff is going to sink Wudy's ship too, NYC was an "Asylum City" under Wudy. They gave "9/11" money to illegal aliens under Wudy!
I hope someone brings that up in a debate!
Al Gore, the gift that just keeps on giving!
GOD I hope he runs!
He won't be getting anymore French kisses from Hillary on stage this time I bet!

uwinceismile:
It is not the thread I was questioning the relevance of but the fact that someone connected to "Ace McCain" was soliciting sex that I found to be irrelevant.  I am sorry if I was less than clear in making that distinction.

Alumbrado -> RE: "The McCain Wreck" (7/13/2007 10:18:51 AM)

Obviously the McCain campaign no longer has the clout to keep stuff like that out of the press....[sm=cool.gif]

Lordandmaster -> RE: "The McCain Wreck" (7/13/2007 10:20:32 AM)

Ummm...I'm not a Rudy fan either, but why are we making fun of someone for getting divorced?
