I've seen people who choose to use a negative descriptor as part of their screen name. Angry, sad, troubled, violent, pathetic, broken, etc. It seems an odd thing to want to have that be someone's first image of you, especially if you are here searching for a partner. Our words here are the first impression and I am wondering why anyone would want to go out of their way to make a negative first impression? Sure, there are some who may not be searching and use it as a means of keeping people away, but I have clicked on several of these profiles and found that they are indeed here to meet others. So, does seeing such negativity in what a person chooses to call themselves influence whether you make contact or not? For those that use such words in your name, what is your personal reason for doing so and does it matter to you if it might close some doors?
