MHOO314 -> Why Say if it isn't true? (7/14/2007 5:43:18 AM)

I address this mostly to the males, but welcome any responses----guys---why in the world do you list yourselves as bisexual when you are not? I receive so many  petitions  that have Bi on their profiles and yet say, Mistress I really am not Bi---why do you do that?

chiaThePet -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/14/2007 6:40:59 AM)

Dear Ms Hathor,

Beats me, (pun intended) seems the opposite might be true, wherein some
boys might try to hide the bi factor as some simply see it as being "gay".

Perhaps they think that by expanding their sexual repertoire, their chances
increase for notice and response.

Perhaps they have not really accepted such within themselves and wish for
someone to "convince" them that they do in fact eat meat.

Perhaps they know fully well that they are, but are more into the forced-bi
scenerio, and putting such out there might give a Dominant cause to "make"
them do something they first profess to, but then deny. Top from the bottom.

Perhaps they are just DTAS boys, (dumber than a stump) and think that the
definition of bisexual refers to their capibility and willingness to buy sex. Not
that "anyone" here at the wonderful collarme hive would allude to such.

Perhaps they just don't realize that one little lie gives a Dominant pause to
consider that "all" they claim may in fact be folly, fantasy and fable.

ahh chia as always your words speak volumes.

angelic -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/14/2007 7:40:12 AM)

MHOO, probably for the same reason anyone embelishes on their profile.  Maybe some think if they can 'get their foot in the door' so to speak, the lie will not matter.  Personally, i do not understand it, i'd prefer someone know exactly who i am up front, but then i am more interested in enjoying life than trying to be someone i am not.

windchymes -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/14/2007 7:42:41 AM)

They might be willing to be on the receiving end of something they consider "bi", but when expected to reciprocate, found that it wasn't really what they wanted after all?

Quivver -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/14/2007 8:22:09 AM)

I think it may be for a similar reason female subs who are bi,
choose to say they are straight.

lonlyrossInNeed -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/14/2007 8:48:57 AM)

I dont know why they do that but my best guess would be perhaps they are BI curiouse and there should be a option on for Bi curiouse not just str8 gay les and bi
or perhaps they are just not for real and seek to mess around

I think its ike anyone else who lies on their profile, either they think the can get in the door and once they do it wont matter , maybe they will be liked enough to where they wont be forced to do anything , or they think it will get more responces.

ProfJoe -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/16/2007 5:26:21 PM)

People generally lie to get attention.

Or to escape attention.

In this case, I think it would be the former.

Sort of wishful thinking -- "if she gets to know the real me, maybe she'll accept me for who I am."

Pretty much self-destructive, though, isn't it?

MasterGremlin -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/16/2007 8:30:57 PM)

We could all sit here and hypothesize and theorize all night long as to why they lie.  I personally like Chia's  "DTAS" theory...it works for me.
But the only ones who can truely say why they are lying, are those who are lying and honestly, after that, would anyone believe what they said?

Personally, I would just delete then and move on because for me, honesty and trust are tightly interlinked.

Sincerely,
minxy [:)]

I'm not sure if this helps you, but recently I was talking with a female sub that said she was bi in her profile. After talking with her in messanger she said she had never been with a woman and I questioned her about the contradiction. Her view was because her last Master forced her to be with a woman , she thought that made her bi. She was under the misconception that if you were ever with a woman, that it made you bi. It might be possible that the boys you talk to are under the same misunderstanding. Just food for thought.

Bear in mind that many of those who post profiles come from a swinging background where it is almost mandatory to claim to be bi. This may generate howls of protest, but our experience in dealing with swingers is that they are a lot less honest than lifestyle BDSM'ers. All swingers profiles claim to practice safe sex, but when you meet them it turns out to be the opposite. The cross over between BDSM and swinging is small, but so many swingers clubs run "fetish" nights that swingers get curious and dabble. After all, "it's just kinky sex isn't it?" yes, that was said tongue in cheek.... Maybe you could think of it as a way of separating the BDSM'ers from the swingers?  (Sorry if any swingers find this post offensive - I do recognise that there are some who fit both categories, and I'm not talking about you...)

OrangeJulius -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/17/2007 3:43:29 AM)

I think that there's probably as many reasons as there are people who do it, but, like others said, a lot of it is probably fear that if they aren't bi, it closes a lot of doors for them, which is pretty true. I can't even begin to count up how many people I've seen that said "bi only" or "bi is a plus".

Now, I'm bi, but not in the interesting sense. If I fall in love with a guy, and the relationship goes that way, than I'm comfortable with that. On the other hand, if I go to somebody's house to mow the lawn or clean up, and suddenly some old man is ordering his wife to order me to suck him off, I'll be less inclined to call myself bi.

Anyways, I used to list myself as bi, but I think that adds a dimension that I really don't want right now, so I just list myself as straight.

To actually answer the question, though, I think part of it is being scared of rejection and not knowing the consequences of telling people that you're bi.

Laure -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/17/2007 8:33:35 AM)

I am not a guy - and not 100% straight - but I do not list or label myself as "bi" because that attracts wayyy too much attention.

This was my thought exactly...there really SHOULD be a "Bi-Curious" option....

OrangeJulius -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/17/2007 12:47:25 PM)

Or even better, a little slider from one to ten with "no preference" in the middle.

MastersMaiden -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/17/2007 2:26:42 PM)

i agree with that as well...i've never been on this forum before, but the few other's i was allowed to try, it was mainly all couples trying to get me to do stuff with them...i pretty much feel the same way as OrangeJulius...

i also fully believe that there should be a bi-curious option, since i have had limited experience with woman-woman stuff, but never actually had sex with another woman (but if i was in love with the person i'm sure i'd have no problem with that) i'm not sure really if the bi title really belongs to me. bi-curious with the slider scale would be even better :)

EmpassionedRogue -> RE: Why Say if it isn't true? (7/18/2007 7:39:38 AM)

simple... its... sadly typcle for men to lie to get a woma they are interested in.

*edit* Chia has a point.  maybe im just to much a jaded cynic sometimes.  they Might be wanting the domme to explore that for them... as in make them do so. either bicurious and not admoting it, or... secreting wanting that sort of femdom. hmmm.....

perversely enough, im the reverse.  my profile Says im straight, but im bi. im just not looking for bistuff so to simplify, i put straight.  i perfer women sooooooo  much more over men that the vast majority of the time i may as well not be bi at all
