I love reading profiles written in detail. And I found myself alining more towards those women who write about being sweet.

It got me thinking. Its just a word, some use it some don't. But I make an immediate connection to those who use it.

Do you have similar words, that help you immediately make a connection?

Pleaser, obedient, giving, female authority, Godiva, good vocab (I'm a word whore).

These aren't specific words, but I sit up and take notice when someone reveals more than their D/s selves, is reflective, emotionally in touch, kind.

Confidence, Intelligence, Integrity.
Although... what a person writes and how they write it effects me more.  Seeing those words does pique my interest.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your replies. Looks like I have unknowingly touched upon "Do's and Dont's of profiles".   This can turn out to be a very informative thread for everyone.

Hi World Traveler,

Honor, Honest, Horney (just kidding, threw that in for the H theme).

Anyone who says they're a Lewciferian (worship Me as a religion) tends to catch My attention.

Articulate, Sense of humor, Integrity - but it's more phrases that i read that can make me click out or send - like - You will always (insert word here) - this to me reflects imo selfishness, how can someone assume they will find someone who will "always" do anything - and it's usually something pretty lame.  i'm a sensual dom but if your a masochist i would be willing to give you the pain you crave  - i just don't want anyone sacrificing to make me happy, like what you like and want - state it and stick with it - this just makes them seem wishy washy to me.   i am looking for my soul mate - sorry but this cries needy to me.  Then the chest beaters who say things like - You will be satisfied like never before - or - Once you experience me you will be begging... - Get real... tell me something valuable about yourself don;t try to sell your technique or skills.  Anyone with a list of things they want as the main goal of their profile and never tell you what they offer - again selfish, shows no flexibility and reduces the other person to basically a product not a person.  There are plenty more but i will stop here lol.

I don't mind the soul mate - I think many of us are looking for that one special person.  I like knowing that there is someone else out there who feels the same way.

Hate the words; if you do, you won't; I will tell you what you can and can't do; or anything that comes close to those.  They are either major control freaks or just little boys who want to be men and were not breastfeed long enough.

I'm like otheres here also - tell me what you are looking for and don't waffle about it.

Ha Ha velvetears,

Looks like you watered down thousands of profiles in one post.
Hmm...... does that mean I should think about re-writing mine :-)

bliss - didn't mean to make it sound like there is anything wrong with wanting to find a soul mate - but to advertise it, imo, it just comes across as needy. Lot's of things i might want i don't put into my profile, they are sort of givens or would come across as needy.

WorldTraveler7 - well those are my triggers lol.... maybe some subs look for those phrases, they could mean something completely different to them??  Your profile is nothing like what i described - short but enough to give someone an idea of what you like.

mmmmmm......... I wonder........
Integrity.  Isnt integrity what someone owns and displays in some behaviour?
To claim integrity is like claiming to have honor or faithfulfullness or  have loyalty.
Prove it.
How can you know if someone really has all of these or even integrity.  Just because they write they have it, they do?

NOT !!

Trigger word outside of profiles?  Instead of calling me slut or cunt or any other "name," He calls me "sweetheart."
Yes, I get off on it.
