[8D]I hate to take a perfectly good flyswatter, that can be used for pesky flies or pesky subbies and cut it apart. You can get the same kind of voltage stepup from the flash on a used single-use-camera.  <<http://www.instructables.com/id/ETUROAHF06CXMW3/>>
And those can be free if you sweet talk the photo developer.

The electric flyswatter is reasonably ok but this is not a good idea.  It holds a large voltage in a large storage device called a capasitor.  whereas the flyswatter has a much lower charge.

I just modded a new fly-swatter this way.  When I gave myself a test zap, instead of being "ouch" like my old one, it was more like "Holy Shit!  Jesus, I'm a coming".

So here is another mod you guys might want to know about.  Replace one battery with a piece of wood covered in aluminum foil, and it will reduce the zap by half.  Alternatively, you can use "dead batteries" as they likely still have enough charge to zap you.

capacitor; and I couldn't even follow that deal you said.
