In That Moment

When he walked into my arms
and held me close,
time stood still.

The distance that
had existed between us
was gone, and he was here.

I could touch him,
smell him,
hold him close.

He was real,
and he was here
with me.

All the waiting
and wanting
and longing for each other.

Came to an end that night.

Why, thank you, Miss Roe -- this one is dedicated to a dear friend who moved to Alaska a year ago. He moved back about two months ago, and we've been "catching up". It's a vanilla thing, but he's been a sweet distraction for me!
