I am creating a scene for the first time and am looking for suggestions from all the Mistresses. The setup is in a garage with me bound to the rafters, possibly with spreader bars (which I made for the occassion) and she will torture me while another watches before they have sex while I watch. I have provided a clean, roomy space with a trunk full of various toys. I am debating on putting a mattress down for them, but they may not use it. I am looking for help with anything I may have missed (such as music, lighting, etc.) that you think would be benificial. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Mattresses, or at least workout padding, or couches, or something, are good if you want people to have sex. That is, if you want them to have sex that involves something phallic getting stuck into something below the waist. Re your rafters: make sure they can hold your weight, ideally double your weight. Also, if there's a reasonable chance that you would fall or stumble (i.e. if anything sudden or surprising will happen--impact play generally involves sudden sensations), you could stand to use good suspension cuffs (make them out of rope or leather strips if you don't own them) and perhaps a chest harness to help with support, too. Talk to your top, and see what she prefers for lighting. I like bright lights myself, but people have different tastes. Ditto for music--some people like it, others don't. I'm not a big fan, and I don't like to play with certain kinds of music. If you have neighbors or other reasons to be discreet about noise, you might want music to cover it, though.

Nothing works if the submissive is cold so make sure you gear the temperature settings around the naked submissive who may be standing round without moving much. A subby who is distracted by shivering is not in the right space for a scene to work. Dominants can choose to remove a layer or two, so submissives need to be the ones catered for. :)) LH

Listen to this person.. My old tops were wonderful about things like this, and in times when we were scening in the winter, a space heater or two was often added to the room, to keep the unclothed sub warm. Of course, sometimes it's a nice little mind game to keep the sub cold. Some sort of like that. (I know that I didn't mind too much.)

scratches head In my dominant world, I set up the scene, not the subject. I'd be pretty ticked if I found out the subject was meddling in the execution of MY scene, but that's just me.

I was scrolling down from the Top of this thread thinking that very thing myself. It's nice to have an attentive subect, but following a 'scene' plan designed by the submissive isn't part of my plan.

On the heating thing - we had a tropical experience a few weeks back for those of us on two legs, and a sub arctic one for those on four. We're still trying to figure out how to solve this (dommes taking it in turns to run out of the room to get fresh air sort of breaks the atmosphere), but it might be worth taking into account that warm air rises, and garage floors are cold by their nature (our playspace is also a converted garage). E

Well ok, but that'd be coming from someone with experience. This is the individual's FIRST scene (so we're being told) -- so how much of this do they really understand. Hell, I recall my first ever time in a dungeon where scenes were going on. I was glad someone had me by the hand and was handing me a clue. Why not let her take charge? That is what D/s is about.....or did someone give me the wrong cue cards?

It does seem an unusual set up to me too MisP - but then maybe the OP is the most experienced of the three participants in the session? I'll freely admit that I dont have that much experience either, and there was no one around to show me anything when I started out - foolish perhaps, but taking it slowly and learning by practical experience what was what, what did what, how and why, it seems to have worked out. Inspiration, preparation and safety are all I had - though the last year thats changed quite a bit - not only do I have a very experienced Lady as a personal friend now but have also played with quite a few male subs/slaves other than my first "victim"(!) and have access to this site where I've learned so much its crazy. E
