For some reason, the majority of the time, poetry and writings of it's ilk seems to be 'looked down on' when it's posted here. Personally, I love good poetry.

Why not start a blog and add the link to your profile here, and on the other side? Your thoughts can be expressed, and those who appriciate it will go look? Or you can always post the poetry in your profile 'diary'.

Didn't see it. Don't know if it's good poetry or the usual angst-ridden or sickeningly "romantic" ramblings. If you can describe life with as much beautiful simplicity as Bukowski, please message me.

no i cant dark. there is a word limit to journal entries. and some of the poems are very long. ive considered a blog but... not sure where ild get a good one without stupid add banners. (standards can sometimes be a pain in the ass) and in any case... no way ild link it here. sorry. stranger's... fine. dont give a care if they dislike it. but THIS place, is differant, for reasons that should be odvious.

dono who that is bukowski so i cant say. however i do all kinds. romantic, dark, erotic, satire, or just expressing the beauty of what is around. (that was.. probably my best of all time to. Day/Night, a study in the progression though each)

all that being said.. PLEASE Delete this thread moderator person. im the starter, i changed my mind about it, kindly get rid of embarassment if you would.

Charles Bukowski is great. There's one segment where he talks about giving readings at a community college, and he goes in and these young female students want to deconstruct his work while he's drunk in front of them, so he stands up and leaves, wanders across the quad and then throws up on a tree. One passing female student looks at him and says: "Man, you're fucked up." He responds: "Finally, a woman who understands me."

I could offer you some good bannerfreeish blog spaces if you wish so please message me (.dark.) on the other side if you like and I can help out anyway I can - and if you ever feel you want someone to look over some of your poetry, then Darcy and I would love and be happy to read through and offer any thoughts (as long as you like honesty... positive and negative)

It sounds as though you want a place to express your creativity. There are lots of outlets and don't fear failiure - it's how we learn best.

sounds like me alright... cept for the throwing up part. i dont get drunk anymore. i will not end up with more regrets. at least not because i got drunk and did or said something i normally wouldnta.
nor would i read my works in literal public i dont think. i really dont have that kind of self confidence. and i know some are very good.. by nearly any standard.
