OK, I thought this might belong in some sort of "System Support" group, but I couldn't find one - so, here's my newbie user question -

When people post, most of them have some sort of D/s role description and a picture next to their names (Master, Switch, paddles, cuffs, collars, triskelions, and so forth) - mine just has "vanilla". I'd very much like to change that, but can't seem to find out how. I've looked through various "edit profile" stuff - any help out there?

Thank you for your prompt reply. I'm not quite sure what the criterion for "active" might be - I've been a member for at least several weeks, posted in several fora, and answered quite a few emails.

I guess from your response that at some point in the process, I'll get something from the system that allows me to choose and/or create a descriptor as you have ("Deranged"), and the paddles or some other icon list will automatically show up so I can choose from it, and the number of icons will increase as I chat/post/email more?

Or is there something I'm missing?

The icon you have is directly related to the number of posts you make, nothing more or less. You could post 1000 posts with nothing but the word "Yes" in them and get a nifty perverted icon or whatever, or make 10 5-page essay posts and still be listed as vanilla.

It tends to just confuse people more than anything.

B.com used to have a star system, where you got more and more stars for the number of posts - it led to a million fluff posts so people could have *gasp* 5 stars.

Every 25 you get an additional icon and a new description, then at 100 you get handcuffs, with an additional handcuff every 100, and at 500 you change to paddles....the description changes every time also,....

Aside from that the mods here frown upon those fluff posts to.

Thanks again kc, You told me the same in another post. Still "nilla" but working on it. Ha. Don't think i'll ever make deranged though (at least not under my name lol)

Saw your profile at Alt also. Seems to be many cross memberships.
