Hello,
I will be going to my first dungeon, and I wondered if anyone had some helpful hints on making it an enjoyable experience.
I have been with my Dom for about 10 months. We will go to the Crucible in DC, and I have never played in public before.
He patiently answers my uestions, yet I wondered if subs had some advice. I have only been invloved in BDSM since I met him.

Be prepared to see some wild things...I would ask if it was ok to just watch for a while and take it all in..

Crucible, great space!  In that space, don't expect privacy, everything is pretty much out in the open- though there are some areas you can go into corners which might be off the beaten path.

Otherwise, just go and enjoy yourself.  Use the same manners you would elsewhere, don't talk loud or walk close to a scene in progress and wear black if you want to look normal.

Relax, get a nap before hand if you can, it will be a long night. Drink lots of liquids, as already mentioned don't talk too loudly or disturb a scene in progress. Also wanted to say that if a particular scene disturbs you, walk away from it. Quite often the people in the scene feed off the energy of the people around them and if a particular scene is really troubling someone, they can tell.

Otherwise, just relax, have a good time and realize you're going to see some varied types of play.
