So, what's up with the David Beckam guy? The media is all over this debut tomorrow night, of him playing soccer in the States.

Considering it's on a Saturday night, is this something I want to watch? Actually, it's on pretty early, so I guess a person could still have time to hit the clubs.

Not the question really. I enjoy watching really huge sporting events. Do you guys think this is going to be one. I mean is this guy the schiz and going to score three goals or something ... or will this be like the last World Cup, that was almost as good as Demerol and vodka?

Becky's got absolutely no personality as a footballer. And he hasn't been worth much on the field for donkey's years now.

That's why he sold out to the highest bidder he could possibly get, that's why he's out of a real football team, and that's why he's on the TV screens in America. I wouldn't recommend it: if you're interested in footy, watch some real games.

On the other hand, might be worth it, for a laugh, like.

He's a good soccer player, and he's been hyped like crazy by the media, so we tune in to watch....we don't know why, but we feel like we should.....

America wooed him with the big bucks to give American soccer a shot in the arm.  He's married to Posh Spice, and they both look good in naked photos and in clothes, too.  They have a combined BMI of 2.5%  They'll be living the high-fallutin' Bel-Air lifestyle and we know how much we love to watch people living high-fallutin' lifestyles.  As far as will it make soccer more interesting to watch?  Nah.  Unless you were already a huge soccer fan to begin with.

I did have to laugh at Posh's response to Paris Hilton saying they could be the best of friends, soul mates even.....Posh is quoted as saying something along the lines of, "Over my dead body!  I'm not going around falling out of clubs with no knickers on!"

I'm placing my bet on the Demerol and vodka.

I loved playing soccer, I can think of few things more boring to watch, though. Now, if Posh goes out buttass naked, by all means, let me know.

Yeah, English footy! Now you're talking, mate! A bit of this, and a bit of that, and Bob's your uncle!

English footy's right up my alley (huh...). I don't support a particular team, though (don't laugh) I have a soft spot for the Brighton Seaguls, because that's where I went to university and we regularly went to see them play - cheap tickets. Third division football's a lot of fun actually, they take far more risks than first and second division, their game is far more attack-orientated, and it's not unusual to witness five, six, seven, ten goals in one game!

It's like winning the fahckin lo'ery, know what I mean?

But Arsenal are a wicked good team. Do you remember the days when Man U ruled? Ah...

Haaaaaaaaaaaa... I graduated in '92 but it didn't stop me from visiting the Zap thereafter. Though I found some of the townies slightly threatening, the London crowd was in large enough supplies that I survived the flood.

Brighton, bright town, where are you now  ?
