It's not actually general anesthesia; it is IV sedation. You will be aware enough to follow directions if they give them, like "okay, now it is time to roll over", etc, but you will be very relaxed and will most likely have no memory of the procedure. It does not carry the risks that actual general anesthesia has, although the same careful monitoring is given. The worst part of a colonoscopy is the laxative prep the night before. You will be eliminating food you haven't even EATEN yet! The idea of a Vice-Master is a very interesting thought, though. Hmmmm.....sounds like a great idea! Is the Vice-Master merely second in the chain of ascension, or does he also come up with especially kinky, sordid ideas for the administration? Good luck with your procedure. *smiles*
