Hey all, I am wondering if anyone can tell me what insertable toy materials are less odoriferous.  My toy box is still trying to recover from the last one I bought (and subsequently tossed).  I think that one was made of latex.  OMG it was so stinky!  Are jelly, silicone, or real skin (I think that is the correct name of this material) better smell wise?

I have several toys and have not run into the problem of smell. I have toys made of silicone and "real skin" mostly (but those are vibrators). My only dildos are made of pyrex. Glass has absolutely no smell and is dishwasher safe :)

I had that problem, too. Even if i used a condom over a butt plug, the plug retained that smell.

Silicone worked better, because you can boil them to sterilize them, and it seemed to take care of the smell also.

I haven't tried the stainless steel ones yet, but they are probably pretty impervious to odors, and would clean up real nice.

we have had good luck with medical grade silicone.  I forgot the brand, but that's the kind that doesn't break down as easily.  I would imagine it's because it's a lot less porous and less likely to absorb.  the only drawback is it's a bit pricier, but worth it, imo.

Yep, ive had that problem with my toy box too - very annoying!  I'm a big fan of glass now, especially as there is a new range out that isnt as expensive as the hand blown variety..... they make eyeopening ornaments too, very pretty with a light on them [:D]

a place that has a nice range (and yes I am sure there are many) is this site in Australia.

http://www.pleasurebox.com.au/  they do party plan as well as online orders and the toys are sensational!

Yes, I have been thinking about trying glass, but oh my it would seem to be a bit... uhm... hard, no?  I like the idea that I could pop it in the dishwasher to make sure it is squeeky clean, however.  [;)]

The Pleasure Box is a great site!  I love the design.  Those nipple huggers look lovely.  Might have to try a pair of those.

For some reason i got the image of having guests over for dinner and one of them decides to be helpful and load the dishwasher only to find an assortment of items other than dishes.  [image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m24.gif[/image]
