I've gotten excellent help & advice from dog.com. Try there, and best of luck to you.

How about going to the vet and getting a real doctor to look at it?

Is it something that appeared just under the skin?  Does it move freely when you touch it?  My dog had a couple of these, they are simply fatty deposits.  Of course, you should definitely check with a vet to be sure...they can just do a needle biopsy or something to check it.  If it's a fatty deposit, they are harmless...the on on my dog didn't get bigger or anything.  You can have them removed if they are in an area that seems to aggravate your dog, or on his face.  As far as I know, they don't migrate anywhere.....at least, my dog's didn't.  It was on his back neara his hindquarters.  Personally, I took my dog to the vet to have it checked....websites are good for info, but when in doubt......

Go to the vet, sooner than later.

Could be nothing(as is benign),but let`s not take chances.I`ve know of dogs who lived very happily,w/ small harmless tumors on them.

Best wishes

Lots of breeds get lumpy as they age, have a vet check it out.
