Not one I was courting, no. One that I have an established friendship/relationship/understanding with, yes.

I identify myself as a versatile top. I do switch, and I have bottomed, but I definitely generally feel much more comfortable topping. I can't say that I've ever really "submit" to anyone, however. I remember having a scene with a mentor of mine, while I was lying there hog tied, he stopped to ask me "Who's in control here?" I told him it was neutral, and he smiled at me and agreed. I'm not one to top from the bottom, but I'm not one to completely give up control either.

Again, I doubt that I would submit in essence, but I would bottom. Odds are, if it's a Pro Domme, it's someone either I or my (hypothetical) partner probably knows pretty well, if not, I'd be checking references, and of course negotiating thuroughly.

Considering how incredibly rare it is for me to bottom, and the fact that I think experiencing things from the "other side" as it were gives me more insight for when I'm topping, I'd probably approach with a fairly adventurous and open attitude. Playing with a Pro kind of removes a lot of the reticence that I have about bottoming in general in a way since it's kind of custom tailored and a little more detached - educational, which is my comfort zone for bottoming right now.

I am a free man of Gor, so this would be like having a coin girl dominatating me......just chuckles away and then stops laughing to return to answering the question......NO.

If the person gets paid for the time...a professional Dominatrix, then the feelings is not there, in my eyes.  You are being paid for the service and then the time runs out and then you leave.  That is it.  If you did it without the money then the answers might be different.  You have the money input and then the logistics and feelings are missing, you do it without the money and people might think you give a damn.

If one were to be courting a potential sub, I would think that it would not be productive in any way, shape, or form to submit to someone for them to watch.  It would seem to be that with some subs/slaves that would instill a sense that you are stuck in a fabricated hierarchy, and that they are willing (one would hope) to submit to you, but you are willing to submit to others.

While some subs might be turned on or enjoy the idea of thinking they were at the bottom of the totem pole, I don't think most people who are Doms (as opposed to switches) would like to know they are in the middle of said totem.

Helping out a friend however, who wants to try a new toy without using it first on one of her own pets, that seems reasonable.  After all, every other object that has a purpose in the vanilla world hopefully undergoes quite a bit of research and trials, toys, especially those custom made (paddles, floggers, chastity systems, and a plethera of other items can all can be custom made with enough attention to detail for either gender).

a resounding no. although of course, professional domme's are really quite submissive, certainly in role. after all, if one doesn't comply with the wishes of a customer, then that customer does not return.

I do not submit; that is not my way. 

If the submissive does not trust my leadership, then we either work on that issue directly or the submissive moves on down the road.

In my past, I've been submissive.  It was kinky, but it wasn't who I am.  If I was searching, I would not do this for a potential slave.  My complete understanding, and accurate prediction of her emotions would replace her need to know I get what she's going through.  If she wants me as a master, and I want her as a slave, she would learn that I have very accurate knowledge of how hard certain tasks are, and that my discipline, punishments, and play are all thought through.

These days, I may have a ver occasional submission fantasy, I don't know, I can't recall any... So I guess I'm a top.  Right, My Pet? >.O

I can see how as a submissive, said hopeful would want to KNOW (and not think or hope) her master-to-be has the thorough understanding needed to value the sacrifices and strives made by a slave.  When she's just been caned 150 times, and he doesn't realize she hasn't whimpered, and done nothing but thank him, maybe that guy deserves a strike or 12.

I never try anything on My Pet without trying it on my flesh first... So in a physical sense, I am a bottom to better understand My Pet.  In a psychological sense, I do my best to understand all sides of the issue.

Easy answer, nope not a chance.
Would she care to submit to Me? if so then there maybe room to talk!

Why?... because I am not submissive, I don't switch. Not everyone has both sides within them and I'm one of those.

And yep, thats the way I've always been.

Learning from someone more skillfull in a particular area doesn't need submission... and don't pull the "To find out what the sub feels" mantra as I will never directly experience that because I can't submit.... and that itself changes the experience.

If I'm reading the OP correctly, I don't see that I would do *anything* because a sub demands it.

However, whatever I do in My free time is My discretion.
