i am so excited! i am officially collared (i have been wearing a, what he calls, "trial" collar, for almost a year). Yesterday, my husband/Dom asked me to make a choker style necklace (i have been doing beadwork for over half my life) with turquoise and clear quartz gemstone chips and silver accent beads. Not knowing what to expect, i make the choker and emailed the pics to Him for approval (long distance marriage, He'll finally be home for good in 2 months). He loved the choker. Then today, He said that He could no longer wait. After all of this time of submitting to Him on condition, today, via phone call and IM, He asked me to take the choker as my collar of submission to Him. i am so happy. Just having this collar around my neck has changed me already. i feel sooooo different and so happy and like i have finally found who i was meant to be.

i was just wondering if this feeling is typical of other submissives/slaves upon receiving the collar?

Congratulations! I can't answer from the sub's POV, but as a Domme who just collared her sub in May and married him this month, it is a huge emotional difference. I found the collar to make things more.. not real, they were already real.- but I found it made me feel differently about everything. *smiles* It is hard to explain to someone else. It is like things click into place. Everything is right. And I'm sure he is as happy as you are. *smiles* Collaring is emotional for the Dominant as well.

Yes, it is incrediably difficult to explain. i cannot even explain the feelings and emotions to myself. i agree that it does "click into place." It just feels SO right. In His voice, i could hear the change in Him as i am sure He could hear mine. i feel so owned and in that ownership....free.

I think most submissives do feel a sense of belonging when they are collared, yes. If I were you I wouldn't worry about how other people felt, go celebrate for heaven sakes! =]

YES!!! i wore Master Michael's consideration collar for a while before He changed it to a collar of ownership ... and it feels so right - sooooo good!!!

i hope the next 2 months go quickly for you, so you BOTH can enjoy this delicious feeling together soon!

Congratulations simpleprop! I do know exactly how you feel. Master doesn't believe in "trial" or "training" collars for Himself, although He doesn't deny they work for many other C/couples. We simply spent a long time (about 18 months) getting to know each other before He asked me to wear His collar. It does indeed make everything "click", and it's a wonderful feeling to wear His collar for the first time. I wish you both much joy and a long life together.

Thank you to everyone! We are so excited. We are planning His welcome home and the collaring celebration already. i cannot wait. i feel like shouting out my joy to the world but as my neighbors would probably not appreciate it, i think i should keep it to the boards. LOL. Thank you all so much.

congratulations.
it was nice to read, that other married people are not collared, it had always felt that this situation was a bit strange? Like, what are they going to do if your not collared? Not as if they are going elsewhere is it, specially if its monogamous.
So to me, this post has a special significance.

I wish you both happiness and fulfillment

Yes, it's a typical feeling of anyone when they feel an intense stage of their relationship has been taken, in any sort of commitment ceremony.

Thank you to eveyone. i'm glad to find that my feelings are normal. i have always felt different and known that i was submissive, but until we started exploring D/s i never had a word for what was going on in my head. It is such a "freeing" feeling. lol.

This is quite a bit off topic - but in case people were not yet aware of Section 18 U.S.C. ยง 2257 I think that this photograph is a good example of why everyone should get involved in saying "HELL NO!" when it comes to 2257.

Do you have full documentation for this photograph? Are you willing to keep documentation around for seven years should you be required to present it to the authorities? Does the owner of CollarMe have the proper documentation? Can/will he/she keep the documentation on file for seven full years.

*However if the document needs to be amended, adding a new alias to the document for example, will both CollarMe and brightspot update and maintain their records for another seven years?

Provided I've read and understood 2257 correctly that's what posting a photograph with anything that could be considered "adult material" means. And in some places... in some cases... that photograph could be considered adult.

- And now back to your regularly scheduled broadcast. Congrats to you simpleprop. I wish you all the best and I hope that you have a long and happy relationship!

flowerchild -> RE: being owned (6/29/2005 12:34:33 AM)

Wow! Congrats!!! My Master just collared me a couple of days ago so we can celebrate together!! Your collar is sooooo beautiful! I love it and I think that being hand made is so important, at least to me it is. The fact that my Master made my collar for me gives it a much more personal and intimate feeling. Yes I felt a certain feeling of difference in the dynamic of our relationship, He doesn't require me to wear it 24/7 since I do have other responsibilities and it would interfere, but as soon as He fastens it around my neck I melt! I feel so free right now and yet so owned at the same time, so I hope you are normal because I feel the same way.[:D]

simpleprop -> RE: being owned (6/29/2005 6:46:40 AM)

Awesome! Congratulations to you too flowerchild! That's the exact feelings i have, free and owned. It is such a wonderful feeling. Congrats! I am so happy for you too! Good luck!
