Does anyone else feel that before a so-called dominant or master joins this group that they should learn some self-control?  It would be nice if at least one could handle rejection without bitching about it to a forum full of people that don't give a damn.  DOminants and masters are SUPPOSED to be leaders and set good examples for total strangers with whom no prior agreement has been reached, so why not at least act like an adult?  It will not kill some of you, but blowing steam out of your ass might.

See?  Makes just about as much sense as your rant about rude submissives.  You don't own them, you don't get to call the shots when it comes to their behavior.

I *was* going to go into one of my long disertations on what a sub/slave is or isn't......yadda yadda......I read the rest of the replies before I got on my high horse.....and all I have to say to "master"jf2005 is anyone can call themselves a "master", it takes a man to BE ONE.......when you grow up, please revise your profile and try again.

EVERYTHING the subs said to you is very very true......I don't need to restate it.....but you need to read it and learn, lil' one.

Very interesting comments for one that claims to follow Gorean morality. Here is a decent thread discussing some things about kajira on Gor. http://www.collarchat.com/m_1173207/tm.htm

I do believe that the actions of a slave, reflect alot on the owner of that slave. There is a wide spectrum between being robotic and being ill mannered (according to whatever ettiquette of the lifestyle one claims to be of). Regardless fo whether someone were to claim to be Gorean or not, my girl (ameenah) had better show respect and manners to any person that is not a slave or submissive. If the problems get bad, then she had better damn well come to me and tell me. If it is something I feel requires my attention, then I will deal with it.

One of the difference between Gor, and other areas, is the fact that slaves should at least be respectful to all Free.

Well, Mr. masterjf2005, on behalf of all those on CM 'and' on these forums, we heartily welcome you to our little world and hope that your stay with us is quite the fruitful one.

If there are those who have offended you, I wish to take it upon myself to apologize to you and hope for your sake that it does not happen again.  Such an esteemed personage such as yourself really does deserve more than the average portion of the 'rabble' here.

If there is anything that I or any of my colleagues here can do to ameliorate the situation, please do let us know.

As a non Gorean, although i did spend 4 years roleplaying a kajrus, i agree that a slave/submissive is indeed a reflection of their owner. That said i also believe that a submissive/slave should at least be respectful to a Free or Dominant just in general and regardless of which lifestyle.

i posted somewhere else, and forgive me for repeating myself, that i give people respect from the off, and it is then theirs to lose. Sadly some people lose it all too quickly. [;)]

There is no reason why a submissive or slave should be any more respectful than any other person (in my opinion). It certainly does not make them any less submissive or slave if they do not reply to your emails.  You may be outside their criteria - age, location etc.  They may not read their emails, they may not be looking, they may choose not to reply.  I would like everyone who joins to first prove that they can read and understand the profiles of other people - this is not going to happen...I know this and will continue to meditate over this issue. [:D]

Orion, any decent human being should always be respectful, polite, kind and well mannered, whether they are a slave, submissive, dominant, waitress, train driver, lawyer, blah blah blah.  It's just common courtesy.

But we humans dont necessarily have to be polite to a dickhead like the op :)

i still don't see, though, how not responding to an unsolicited email can be seen as being disrespectful or rude?  No one on this site, whether they are dominant or submissive, is under any obligation to reply to every single email they receive on here from another.  Yes, it would be nice if people would at least email back and say "Thanks, but i'm involved, not interested, etc.....", but that's just not going to happen.

Perhaps, and this is to the OP, any person that joins this site should only be allowed to do so once they understand that sending an email does not obligate someone to respond to it.  Then we wouldn't hear this same rant every few weeks.

If You wish a rebuttal for Your comment, You are not going to get one.   Everyone has an opinion...let's leave it at that, shall we?  Respect is earned in any situation, community, religion, whatever....this is real life, not some Gorean novel.

Excellent point! How a person identifies themselves doesn't matter. The fact that a person who doesn't respond to an e-mail is, in my estimation, rude is what matters.
 
Before I get accused of "throwing around blanket statements": The e-mails that I send out are NEVER rude and almost always, at least a few paragraphs in length. Therefore, in my estimation, if I have taken the time to express interest/compliment someone, I expect that they can take a minimum amount of time for some kind of acknowledgement.
 
I would also add, though, that on this site, in particular, we have a feature where we can see that the person read our mail. While, again, I believe that no response is rude, we can surmise that our e-mail didn't "tickle their fancy" (Because, if it did, they sure-as-shit would write back).
