OK here is a first for Me and diverting attention from the upcoming class--I teach and mentor as many of My Domination peers do-- I was approached in an online site by a couple to begin to mentor a new male sub, now he had been in the teaching of the Master and his female sub--in the basics--terms, rules, certain protocols--his assignments were posted on a public site---(Im not comfortable with this personally-just Me)--but I was asked to work with him to start him on his journey to defining what he is and to prepare for a Mistress someday--ok no problem---- BUT he is still being mentored by the Master---and in the first few tasks, we are at odds--- go figure---I have NEVER shared the mentoring of a sub with a Dom---has this happened to anyone? If so how did you make it work?

ravenna started an excellent thread about Serving multiple masters. I believe a lot of what was discussed in that thread could be applicable to you.

I've only co-domed in scenes, never on a long term basis.

Oddly enough the movie "Searching For Bobby Fisher" comes to mind. If you haven't seen it, it's about a boy who has two chess teachers who don't really appreciate the style the other one is teaching the boy. However, in the end their styles blend together and he becomes like a hybrid of them both. I think the best thing you can do, if you're not trying to start and fights and kick the other guy out of the picture.. is to just gently give your advice and leave the choice of following it or not up to the sub without much consquences. If you make the submissive fear choosing one person's advice over the other than they might end up just not listening to you at all and i'm sure you have some wisdom worth sharing. Another thing to keep in mind is, to what degree are you mentoring this submisive? Are you more or less a philosophy teacher or a hands-on trainer? If you are just trying to help him/her understand D/s then I wouldn't see the need for stern reinforcement or power exchange while teaching. If you are trying to train them hands on to get a feel for being dominated... then perhaps you would need to talk out a deal with the other dominant about a schedule or some way you can work together. Good luck.. I hope whatever happens is in the best interest of the whole group.
