I'd like to know why so many people get into relationships and then feel like they can't talk to, or bring up a subject to their significant other.  How do you ever meet if you can't talk?  This confuses me.

I also am not sure why people get into relationships and can't be silent with each other. In various relationships I've had to travel for work or other things and have been away for significant periods, sometimes I called, sometimes I was too exhausted, and sometimes talking to the person would have just added to my resentment at being forced away from home. Trust is more important in any relationship IMHO, but especially in a D/s relationship, than service or skillsets. If you can't trust someone to go away for a few days how can you trust them to run your life when they get back?

I wholeheartedly agree with your post as wll, Dasein.  We must find good balance.  Here here!

I ask for and expect daily contact of some kind.
At the very least he should send you an email.
What you accept is often what you get.
I would have a long talk with him, about your expectations in a serious relationship!

Thanks MzMia - and everyone else for all the helpfull suggestions! Master is home today (yeahhh) and we will meet this weekend (double yeahhhh). i will talk to Him of my worries then - discussion is definately needed but, as I said in my opening post - i really don't want to freak him out. i am not expecting a marriage proposal (after all we have only known each other a few months) but i do feel i need to know whether he sees this as a lifestyle he wants to live 24/7 or not. Not too sure if there is any point in continuing if we are not on the same page!
