locally, I rarely wait longer than 2 weeks...normally even shorter. but then we meet people offline almost every month. For us, normally 5 or 6 emails, a few phone calls, then dinner plans.

If there is a greater distance to travel, it can take longer to make plans, schedule trips, find babysitters...that sort of thing.

For me, it's extremely rare that a dominant male even interests me enough to want to meet them offline.  When it does happen for me, my time frame always ends up being about two months or so before I meet them; sometimes due to circumstances, other times just due to feeling 'ready' to face the possibility that the meeting could change my life.

Whenever the two people involved feel it is the right time. If you live a mile apart and you decide you both want to go see a movie that night, that's fine. If you feel more comfortable talking for weeks beforehand, that's fine too. Us? We waited about a month, would have been longer but I found myself in his neck of the woods so I met him then.

I think it depends on the location of said parties, and the level of trust a sub/Domme/Dom has. Me? I'm very untrusting because I've been traumatized a couple times by on and offline stalkers. However, if say I met a Domme in the immediate area, I would try to meet up post-hast (given that we could talk well online).

Otherwise it's a huge gamble, because if I'm going to spend upwards of 100 bucks on a bus ticket to visit someone, they better the hell be worth it. So in that case I always take my time getting to know that person.

i've made the mistake of meeting people way too early and ended up calling it off. Now though, i've been talking with a Dom for almost 1 1/2 months, and we've decided to meet in mid Sept. which will be 2 1/2 months for us. Good luck

i met Master after one week - which normally i would NEVER do - but we just clicked instantly and things happened really fast. If its the right person then i don't think the length of time you wait matters - you meet when it is right for both of you!

In my opinion a relationship isn't real until people meet  in person.  i have met many in person who i got along with great online but in person there just wasn't any level of connection.  Personally i don't want to invest a lot of time or waste theirs if there isn't any chemistry so i'd perfer to meet just as soon as possible.

Whatever time frame is comfortable for both people.  I've waited as long as two years.
My typical time frame when searching was a year.  That way I knew the person inside and out.
Pretty much knew who I was going to meet.
My current dom/husband I met in 3 month's.  He was my quickest ever.

Other than of course those I meet at parties and munch groups. 

If I had any hesitation whatsoever I would not meet.  Hesitation is your minds way of telling you something isn't quite right yet.

Hello,

I personally like to meet someone as quickly as possible.  Since I only talk to people who are local to me, if they interest me enough we will meet for coffee within a few days. 

Since I always approach new people as a peer, there's nothing invested on the Ds side of things.  I always make it very clear that we are meeting just for coffee - nothing more, nothing less.  I will not accept orders as to how I am supposed to dress, behave, etc. beyond standardly accepted vanilla social norms.  This is because we are meeting as peers.  And if there's no chemisty, it's no harm, no foul at this point.  It also helps reduce the likelihood that they will expect some sort of sexual gratification on the first date.

Locally, whenever my schedule is clear, unless they are way too pushy.  More than a few hours' drive?  Whenever I am headed in that direction anyway.  Jumping on a plane?  Tough call there, the issue hasn't come up for me yet.  Personally, after a few months, I would fly to a 1/2way point, if possible, and if there were other things to see and do that I had been wanting to see and do.  No sense depending heavily on a NetBuddy for my enjoyable trip, right?

MJ an I waited almost 4 years, lol. He lives 3 hrs away. {long story.. we were friends for most of that..... }

Normally, if the person was local, a few weeks, not so local, a month or whenever we could arrange it if it was the next logical step. I don't have the new 'lifestyle handbook' with the exactly number of days, emails, IM conversations, phone conversations or hours logged, so I can't give you an 'officical' time table.

I will admit, I have met men less than 1 week after first contact online. I met one guy during my lunch hour, it turned out that we actually knew eachother, lol. So that made it easier.

Common sense goes a very long way in not being taken
advantage of in this Lifestyle or any other potential
relationship. One must be grounded in reality at the
onset and never let their fantasy guide them to
illogical thinking. The internet is a great medium for
any one to be any person at any time and a great tool
to prey on one's emotions. The avenue I took when I
was a free slave was : careful screening,
understanding and consideration.

My Owner took the
time to get to know me as a person and most
importantly She allowed me to get to know Her. We must
always remember to always put safety first, never
second guess your gut feelings and most importantly if
you are a slave realize until otherwise established it
is your right to ask questions. With any quality

It took literally ten in person meetings
with my Owner until She allowed me to know her phone
number. Prior to meeting in person we spoke via the
internet for one month and then She granted me
permission to provide to Her my cell phone number.
Luckily, I was blessed that my beauttiful Owner saw it
fit after ample time of me proving myself of worth and
value to collar me and call me Her's for eternity.
Many do not have the patience and fortitude to put in
the time and effort in making certain you both were
safe prior to your initial meeting.

What most want is instant gratificiation,
lets not waste our time and so forth. I am from the
impression that if you claim to be a true slave you
should be thankful to find a Dominant that takes the
time to care about safety and well being prior to any
in person meeting. If you cannot take the time, even
if were months to get to know someone as much as
possible prior to meeting in person you should think
twice. For if what you seek
is to be collared and an owned pet forever, several
months of getting to know Your potential owner prior
will feel like a second in years to come, at least in my opinion.

the shortest time, i think, was 2 hours. we were 10 minutes apart and both out doing errands that day. the longest was around 6 months. i was in the midst of running between 4 states for holidays. it took awhile to get it.

but when the kosher feeling is there. it is there.
