Status: offline 		I am a Dominant. At least thats what I feel I am but I have not managed to get to munches as yet and not met any submissives either-this wont change unless I can get to munches of course. But I feel at a slight disadvantage as I seem to have an image problem-I had it in the MSN chatrooms, I had it on ALT.COM and more recently, on SUBSLAVE-EXCHANGE.COM.

I'm acutely aware (or at least think) that if all you manage to do is read books on the subject then you aint worthing bothering with. So My question is this-are there experienced submissives who are interested in "training" Dominants but but only for small amouts of time and with no interest/expectation/intention of an on going relationship? because if I have no r/t experience, I probably may as well give up trying to find a relationship. wouldnt you say?

I understand how compliacted an issue it is-find a submissive to train a Dom, But Ive heard whispers of it happening,so Im keen to find out more.

I think mythology is right. Of course someone is worth bothering with, even if the only thing they have been able to do sofar is read up on BDSM. Goodness, everyone starts somewhere! And more importantly - people continue to learn always. People who think differently, IMO, are not worth your time or effort and that's their loss.

As for mentoring, yes, submissives can mentor and it doesn't make them any more powerful or put the Dominant into a bottoming position. You may even find a couple (Dominant/submissive) who may be able to offer guidence. You say you have not been able to attend a munch, is that because of travelling and lack of facilities? Because it may be as well to contact the organiser of your nearest munch and they may be able to find a way of assisting you?

I am in the UK - but not Your area. However, if I can assist in someway, please feel able to contact me via mail on Collarme. I can find various lists and munches - or assist in any way I am able.

Status: offline 		A couple might be a good place to start, definitely. See if you can hop online and find some people near you and ask around. Also, yes, everyone has to start somewhere.... I'm still very new at this myself and still working on things. :D Welcome

Status: offline 		Just a quick ty for your post. I have contacted the local munch organiser and they are trying to find a solution to the problem, namely wheelchair users and lots of narrow,virtical steps dont mix. lol.

Status: offline 		I don't mean to seem blithe about this, but train yourself, big boy. As Dumass Dom would say, FIND A BITCH AND TYE HER UP AND USE HER (AND LIKE MAYBE GAGG HER TO IF YOU LIKE THAT). I really don't believe a sub can "train" a dom. Help him along, show him some pointers--sure. But either you're dom or you're not, and if you're dom, you'll take control of the situation. Of course you'll make mistakes, but learning from your mistakes is really the only way to learn at all.

Status: offline 		That's true, but what if he were to make a mistake that would be unbearable for his sub or for himself?? I think that could be a reality that would need to be addressed. I think even watching a r/t couple could help the OP a lot. I don't know that people/subs/slaves/whatever are always the most appropriate mediums for making lots and lots of mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, yes, but I understand what the OP is saying.
