MasterRon60 -> age an issue? (6/29/2005 10:04:08 AM)

greetings
ive been a member here for a while now and have been in this lifestyle for some 17 yrs I’m in my 60s some/most would say to old?
And still seeking a fem sub .
most that I have Mailed on here (40/55 yrs olds) reply with "sorry your to old for me "

If one is seeking a real true Dom why ( I Respectfully ask should age be an issue? )

To old to train a subbie in the finer points of this lifestyle?, I think not.

think of O/our teachers in the vanilla life do W/we look at them and say "to old"
comments please
Master Ron

I tend to discriminate based on too young versus too old..laughing...but everyone has their own preferences. I don't think you will have any trouble finding those who find your age to be a benefit if you are compatible in other ways.

Welcome to CM!

best regards,
fate

Speaking only for myself, age matters because I need a partner who is compatible with me as a whole person, not simply compatible in terms of D/s. I want someone who is in a similar stage of life, someone who shares a common awareness of culture and history, someone who will be going through through the same age-related ailments and limitations as myself. I know I am less energetic at age 45 than I was at age 35 - so I don't think it would be fair for me to be looking for a 35 year old.

Personally, I look for someone withing five years of my age. I would consider someone with a 10 year age difference, but anything more is simply too great of a gap to bridge.

I'm of the mindset that onceburned is but I'm sure there are plenty in the forums and on the other side that will not see things that way. I wish you all the luck in finding one who makes you happy.

Age matters if it matters. No one is *only* a sub. You can't expect a submissive to roll over like a possum playing dead simply because you're a true Dom. Like all relationships, sexual or no, compatibility between two people is a complex and sometimes pretty random thing.

That said, it does suck that the subs you've spoken with all seem hung up on your age.

Age, is like hair colour - it's personal choice.

That said - I don't think that there is even a thing as a 'real true ' Dom(shudders again - both in one sentance?)

I also do not believe in 'training' - I feel that whenever a sub/slave has a new Master, that the trianing starts anew - not everyone is the same - everyone has different likes, desires, rules. Sure, the basics are there, but to 'train' to take it with you (to me) would be disrespectful to the new Dominant. What past is past - look forward, don't hang on to that which has been before.

Just for the record - the oldest Dominant I have served - was 61

Peace and Love

Well, said onceburned. I, too, have age restrictions. About 9 years one way or the other is all I want to go. I have found the closer to my age my partner is, the more we have in common as a refernece point. Same songs, same memories, it makes "whole life" compatability easier.

Besides, I don't want to "do" someone who is the same age as my kids, or my mother.

Take heart, Master Ron. The more time we spend on the net, the more people who are "well seasoned" will find this special place. I'm 51 and one of the people I love most on the planet is 72 years old and incredibly sensual. I suspect it's like any other preference... a compilation of all one has known and learned.

Be well -

jocelyn
