As i have astated in my profile i am a novice,
that said, i realy was wondering if this kind of thing was the norm for a man to act here.
I am very glad to find out that, this is not the case.

LadyAngelika--- i agree just becouse a person is a submissive or submissive by nature ( me) that does not mean we cant handle ourselfs.
I have a military backround, and as such, i can and have had to handle myslef in some difficult situations.

I am glad to be able to come her and ask guestions and get such a wide diversity of answers and advice. you are all wonderfull!

Farmamir----- yes beingin the babtist belt in the south, does make it very hard to find anything local .

Status: offline 		I am a man, and I do not act like that. Really, approaching someone here is just like approaching someone in public. But many people lack social skills nowadays and as you have seen, it shows up really well. Even more so in text. If I email someone, I don't care if I am brushed off, it happens. Sooner or later I will find the right person and who knows what life has in store then. If I meet someone in a vanilla setting and things work out, then hey, I stop playing on the boards when things become serious.

And speaking of hard to find people, I live in Maryland, it seems like the most vanilla state in the whole country to me.

Status: offline 		Yeah, I met up with a group based out of Baltimore. Nice group of people. Since I am only half out (family does not know), my activities have been very limited. And now that I am kinda out I find that I call people in BDSM normal and the vanilla people seem a little odd to me now:) Before I really knew who I was, I thought I was really alone. I must say that I am happy to be here.

Evidently some men get confused and think that porn movies are documentaries. Either that, or there are enough confused and desperate women that such an approach is occasionally successful.

i dont get any mail then in one day i get 4 from a man i have never talked to and when i did not do as i was"TOLD'" and exsplained thati did not knwo him and woudl perfer to getto knwo someone before i started doing anything with him, i get called a fake and wanabe and bitch and other such things., i have put him on ignore. i just wonder what makes men think that this is okay?

It is OK with me... I would not do it because it is idiotic... but, it is 'ok' with me

Status: offline 		While i've never gone so far as to arrange a meeting with someone who writes to say "ON YOUR KNEES, BITCH", and depending on my mood, once in a while (like the other day) i'll email them back with an "LOL!!!" -- it's like the devil makes me do it. <giggles> If they don't figure it out and actually write back i might send them a letter making my position a little clearer. Just because i'm a submissive doesn't mean i have to suffer fools gladly, or any other way.. mostly i just ignore them, since i figure they're not even worth the energy to put them on ignore. i can always use a giggle..lol

Status: offline 		does not happen to me much but when it does i will no longer talk with that person. once told one that i cant be a slave and do not want to be. it was several times i said it while in an instant message. he then used all caps which is considered yelling by some and said i will be his slave after me letting him know no will not be. that was the end of him.

Ha ha ha. So refreshing. I love it.

I think I reply to all the emails I get. I don't get sacksfull, just one or two a day usually. Most of them are polite, complimentary ones and then there will be a Howler every so often: Are You Shaved? You're Not a Real Slave. Why Are You On Here If You Are Collared? Your Master Ought to Know, blah blah. I'll usually reply to all these too, because it makes me laugh. They're obviously people who are not with it or trying to get a rise or something. I've probably got a few exchanges with this kind of person in my mailbox I could share. lol.
