It sems to me what makes a good person/sub/dom is the basic moral character of the individual. each person has their own definition of what makes a good submissive and I don't believe that it's wise to advise someone on how to be a good submissive. The intent may well be with good intentions yet often it's taken as interference.
For the most part, people can and will decide if they want to seek another for guidance, when they determine if they want a second opinion regarding their own choices. Yes we humans will continualy make improper choices yet this is just another avenue on our path to personal growth and learning. Nobody can keep another person from an abusive relationship. The abused person themselves have to make that choice themselves to truly want to escape from the abuse before anything can be done. All we can do is lean support to the abused person when they ask for it and also help to point them in the right direction when it is warranted.

Just wanted to comment about your reply to MisPandora. You might notice the leather belt draped over MisPandora's neck. It is Ms World Leather, they don't give those out for just looking good in leather. Those belts are earned through years of service for the betterment of the leather community. Just a small indication of her years of experience. While i don't know MisPandora personally, i am venturing to guess based on posts and pictures alike, that she has just a bit REAL TIME experience.

I agree about not being someone to tell others how to be a sub. I get inquiries all the time from both submissives and dominants about how someone can become a better submissive, and I'll usually answer that "this is what tends to work for me" and then explain how the interaction might or might not work based on past experiences and observations. Someone once suggested I should write a slave manual for people who want to be submissives, and I've always kind of just laughed it off because I don't feel it would be appropriate. There are all sorts of submissives and all sorts of slaves, and if I ever thought I had the "one true way", I'd be fooling more than just myself.

I think that's one of the reasons why people are responding as they are in this particular thread. Onewayisms only work when you're one on one with someone you admire, respect and/or desire.
