It never ends unless you're like me and your e-mail just doesn't work at all.
Doesn't matter that you are new.

You can trust me when I say that all women (Domme or sub) get more emails than they can handle.

I figured that was the case. I won't even try to keep up, then.

I did, even though my profile initially lacked a picture and made frequent mention of my husband. I did have a picture up at one point but that seemed to increase the "hi u chat?" emails I was getting so I took it down. Now it seems to go in fits and starts. Some days I'll get 5 or 6, some days I won't get any at all.

More overwhelming were the number of "You're married? Oh, great. Want to do something on the side? No? Fake!" inquiries I've received. I hadn't expected that.

Wow. Any idea why?

And if it doesn't work, how did you send me a note a few weeks ago? Then again, that might explain why my response back to you was unanswered. While we are on the subject, all it said basically was that I agreed with your statement and thanked you for the note. :)

Well lynara I just clicked on your profile and saw your picture. You are beautiful so you will probably be constantly bombarded. When I joined I had no picture of profile so received no email. I guess it is feast or famine :)

PS Welcome to Collarme

New people are put on a "just joined" list that others can view, as well since you probably are signed on and exploring the site, your name will leap to the top of the "online now" list.

Both of which instantly attracts people looking to pounce. Fresh meat is fresh meat.

I have noticed a distinct lack of people talking with me except for occasional forrays into the chat rooms. It would seem that females suffer the brunt of the messages especially if they have a photo and are online often enough to keep themselves listed early in the search pages. Looking over the profiles of some of the active members i have found many a disgruntled females complaining of too many messages from freaky men wanting nothing mroe than to drool over someone.

I have also noticed a distinct lack in response from anyone when i message saying that i am just interested in chatting or messaging because of a shared interest. Maybe it's my breath don't know. I guess it is hard to trust anyone if they are male, lord knows ther aren't any men that might actually have a brain out here. (grr) ::sigh:: sorry for the rant.
Anyway the only thing i can say is ignore the ones that you don't like and hope a few good ones pop in occasionally.

No idea why. I've written to support numerous times. Even spoke to mods on the boards. Essentially it just stopped one day several months back. The reason I know it did at that point is because I was talking to a friend who had responded and it never showed up in my inbox.
Feb sometime to be exact.
So now my mailbox is barren. At one time it was worse though. I could'nt send anything out either. One day I tried to send something to someone and it went through...so now I just take the chance every now and then.
So I took a chance on you. Hehe...I imagine support has probably e-mailed me a few times but don't get the fact I cannot receive the mail. So they figure I'm just not responding.
That's about how tech supports go over all no matter what company you're working with. I can't imagine HP or someone being able to read the e-mail well enough to know you actually cannot see their return e-mail.
I get so frustrated with support. So, those I talk to on a regular basis they have my real e-mail or messenger ID. Those I don't well....I'll try to send off the e-mail...if they get it they do.

Well actually it is marked as unread in my mailbox. And I figured maybe you missed it and then I didn't want you to think I was some snot nose bitch who didn't respond ;)

And these mails are not in your Bulk folder? I'm sure you looked into it but just in case.

Nope, I've checked everywhere. Re-set all settings numerous times. It has since disappeared but my last e-mail was from Mod Three dated Feb 22nd. Collarme deletes e-mail after a while.

I just normally give people my regular e-mail address....and those I don't care for much get my aol address.

I actually didn't receive a single message when I joined. I attribute this to two things:

1. I don't have a picture up yet.
2. I'm already claimed. Since I'm not looking for anything more than friends I can talk to openly about BDSM relationships with, I think most don't care whether I'm there or not. What fun is someone you can't get involved with? <---bad word edited out

Sorry, I think I'm in a bad mood. Plus side, I have made some really good acquaintences in the chat rooms and I have made some contact with people who I think would be cool to talk to. Don't give up. Just delete anything that doesn't seem worth while.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

Maybe it is that I posted a pic. I don't know. I suppose if the amount of mail becomes exorbitant, I could delete it.

I joined here to learn more about the lifestyle in general and to hopefully meet people in my local area. The trolls here won't stop me.

Nah, it has to be a collarme glitch. See my profile I wrote it in like 45 seconds...and I deliberately left everything out.
I wasn't here looking...just wanting to learn more. In my opinion I will never learn enough about the lifestyle and the different emotions people have within it.

I think you get it a lot worse across the water... don't worry it will calm down a bit and if not you could always move.
