Hello, all. I'm just wondering whether there's any way to turn off that recent posts scroller? Maybe I am blind, but I couldn't find an option for it anywhere. The laptop fan just keeps blowing 'cause of that scroller... Cheers.

I don't have anything scrolling on the recent post thingy. You are talking about the box at the top middle of the screen labled recent posts? Perhaps it's because I have firefox and have the ad & popup blocker set to high, but I don't get any scrolling posts in the box. But I also don't get any of the almost naked pics or bondage girl on the side of the pages either. Anyway, point is, if it bothers you so much and no one has a better suggestion, get firefox and the add & popup blocker that it has as an add on.

I have Firefox. I just prefer Opera. More stable, faster, smaller memory footprint, etc. And I was wondering if there was a solution, rather than a workaround. But thanks for your suggestion, in any case.
