Let me say this as plainly as I can... you are already a part of the continuum. It happened, using your linear thinking to explain the timeline, long before you and your kind even existed. There's nothing that can be done to change it... it's been a done deal for eons.

Status: offline 		The continuum exists in thought... it just is... there is no other explanation for it. All of its member beings were instituted at the moment of its conception, and since that number is fixed and eternal, membership cannot be obtained. Membership status is made known to a being as the continuum believes that being has reached sufficient intellectual capacity to fathom the meaning of the continuum.

samba is a member of that continuum... always has been... always will be. Whether she chooses to accept her position is, of course, up to her, but her membership status is nonetheless granted. None of the members of the continuum ever had a say in being members, for their membership was granted long before they coalesced into the corporeal beings they were. Each member can, if they choose, return to a corporeal status, but the essence of that being can never die, nor can its membership in the continuum be revoked.

And, despite a member's unwillingness to participate in the affairs of the continuum, their actions as corporeal beings has been fortold long before they existed.

Samba, why don't you want to be in the continuum?  Obviously they believe you have the necessary intellect for such information.  One would think you'd be please to be part of such a select sect.

Status: offline 		oh you don't know the continuum like i do ...there are certain things they will and/or not allow you to do.  plus sometimes they have a hidden agenda when it comes deciding someone's or a realm's fate.

But, wouldn't you want to belong to something that does have a role in deciding fate?  Plus, if you're already a member..what can ya do?  Abdicate?

Status: offline 		ELLA! *Angel's voice raises in frustration - suddenly the sound of alarms and then firetrucks tearing up the driveway, pounding on the door and then stomping of feet to the back yard. *hmmm hunky* Angel and her sweet little Ella are standing not far from a fire that has the oddest glow to it, around their feet are what appears to be toy gargoyles and a cute little gnomish looking 'thing'.

i don't know how it happened, sirs, we've had a small spate of fires break out. perhaps neighbourhood pranksters? *looking oh so angelic, and bouncing a gurgling red-haired Ella on her hip*
