Well, the hotel's management gets a bit squicky if they catch me drinking while on duty... something about excessive welts being left behind on some of the guests. But since none of the managers seem to be around...

Samba, the continuum has been around far, far longer than any one realm. They observed the first physical/biological realms being formed. There are realms far older than your own. It's only now that your realm has achieved the intelligence level necessary to understand the existence of the continuum. We're not here to guide you along any path nor to prevent you from doing whatever it is you're destined to do along your evolutionary course. We're merely here to pick up the pieces that inevitably shake out when one realm gets too big, too quickly and thinks it knows how to go about interfering, in some fashion, in the affairs of other realms.

We've were here long before you evolved into the beings you are and we'll be here long after you've devolved. That's it.

Yes, those are new house rules... the losers must pass before you. However, so as to be completely fair to the masters or mistresses who've lost a sub, they can take any uncollared or not yet spoken for sub at the hotel as a replacement.

Well, if you and samba would like to compete against each other for the losing subs, I'm sure the hotel will be happy to work something out... as long as they get their usual cut of the proceeds.

I don't think you'll hear any arguments from the masters and mistresses of those losing subs. They would, in all likelihood, be embarrassed at the prospect of dominating losers... something they' probably not want other dominants to know about.
