Dana Patrick finished 4th in the "Indy 500"

She was actualy leading the race for awhile.

I know that Woman have Won smaller races,
but not on this calliber.

I've seen Woman do things that just turn Mens head around and say,
"Wow I guess You can~"

Once Men realize that Women are our equal, that's when the wheels
of life start to really get going.

I'm Submissive to Women yes, but I am Submissive to
Men also. I just would rather serve a Women.

I take nothing away from the Men,
but the Women are getting closer~

A Women for President, "yes"

Sincerely, Ant

It's Danica Patrick, not Dana Patrick.

If that's really the case, blame the newspaper. Don't blame me.

In the case of car raceing, Danna Patrick has a very distinct advantage aginst most of the other racers. She is short and only weighs 110 pounds thus giving the car less weight and wind resistance. So if there would ever be a seperation of sex in the car racing industry, it would be due to women having the advantage and I think to many men have to much pride to admit to that.

I myself have never thought of car racing as a sport. Sure there is skill and team work envolved with your coach and auto workers but the only real physical envolvment is endurance and holding controlling your bladder if you don't like peeing in your paints or having a foley.

I myself am only interested in the wrecks. It's ppl like them who help keep me employed in the trauma, orthopedic, and Physical Therapy business.

It's Danica, and don't call me elephant humper just because you don't know her name. (It's only been ALL OVER the media over the past month.)

I'm so disinterested in the story that I just now know her name. All I ever paid attention to on the news was Women Racer places forth before I changed the channel or turned the page. Any how, it's good to see that somebody cares what her name is. Raceing, how does it make you important. I guess it's the gambling arena.

Yay Danica!!

I was raised in a race car household. My father was a race car driver and most of my childhood family vacations were spent going to races or to see various Grand Prix races. I always wished I was the first female F1 driver. I most definitely got my share of speeding tickets practicing ;)

Probably because it's a crock. The other racing teams can go find drivers of similar stature if they think it's that much of a problem. What's next, penalizing basketball players because they're too tall?

You could also argue that she's at a distinct physical disadvantage due to her small size. She lacks the upper body strength and endurance of her larger, male competitors. That saw cuts both ways.

Robby Gordon, the most vocal anti-Danica racer, is just a crybaby looking for some press in the sunset of his mediocre career. There's a reason he has his own race team, he isn't good enough to get a ride with anyone else. Sounds like sour grapes to me, especially since he never whined about the smaller male racers who have been beating him soundly on a regular basis for years.

You should consider removing the word 'thought' from that first sentence because it's clear you haven't put much into this subject. Driving a race car isn't anything like driving to grandma's house in the family car. It's a physically grueling endeavour and the drivers fight the car and physics every second of every lap. If you're not in peak physical condition, you have little chance of surviving a race unscathed, much less winning one.

But don't just take my word for it:

Speed Racers Are In Good Shape, Too
No doubt NASCAR drivers are athletes
Are racers athletes?

You can find more articles if you bother to look.

The thought of you working in any segment off the healthcare industy scares the hell out of me.

This was gratuitous, but I agree with the rest of what you wrote. You're absolutely right that Patrick's body gives her considerable disadvantages too, especially in long races with a bazillion g's. She has said so herself.
