CelticPrince -> A D/s Cruise (8/4/2007 9:51:17 AM)

Has anyone ever booked onto a D/s cruise? hardly ever seen as a advertised as such normally as special interest groups and thus only word of mouth.

I was one one about 5 years ago, had about 150 D/s folks and it was a blast.

Anyone hear of another coming up?

CP

LadyLynx -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/5/2007 11:21:22 AM)

Oh yes! Please do share the link if you do find it! I wanna go!!!  ;)

Owned1 -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/16/2007 10:39:06 PM)

Please do post on here if you find one that is not an arm and a leg for a couple to triad.  Master and I have been to a weekend event and it was wonderful to be totaly absorbed in D/s for the entire 3 days without worring about the "real world".  I think a week away in itself would be wonderful never mind if we could be the M/s side of us freely.

on the sub boat life is exciting and new the sub boat   we are expecting you

becca333 -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/17/2007 1:19:38 AM)

Now I have this tune running through my head, "The sub boat.... promising magic for everyone... the sub boat..."  Oh no, wait, that was the Love Boat, right?  (And I'm NOT that old, I watched it in repeats.  Honest.)

FangsNfeet -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/17/2007 2:36:45 AM)

I've disucssed BDSM cruise ship parties with various groups but alas, the lack of funds has been the big draw back for planning such events. If anything, the biggest problem has always been having enough people who can all go at the same time. Large Yahts and sail boat parties between 10 - 30 people are what normally take place.

The idea of having a curise ship is much like booking a Hotel for a big event. A down payment will be needed followed by an aggreement that X amount of rooms will be used. Unless you can find a Kinky Billionair who owns a curise ship saying  "Oh what the hell" Everyone will still have to pay for tickets.

Does CM and Alt.com combined have enough active memebers to fill three fourths of a cruise ship? If so, how many can realisticly make it?

DS4DUMMIES -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/17/2007 6:15:18 AM)

Serious Response

Given SOLAS and Coast Guard regulations (for US flagged/crewed vessels) and the "bondage" nature of a D/s cruise....no Captain or Officer of a ship like that should allow anyone to be bound or restrained while aboard, especially at sea. Allowing such things is asking for your license to be pulled if there is any sort of accident, and it's just not a safe thing to do. Most large cruise companies would I'd think shy away from a D/s cruise for safety and PR reasons. The best bet is a large charter yacht but even there, you need a cooperative set of officers. I can say unequivocally that I could not see myself allowing bondage on any vessel I commanded. Perhaps there are other professional mariners who differ on this...

So what we need to do is find some Pirate Ship type deal... or find a island nation with less strict maratine laws

teamnoir -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/17/2007 10:43:34 AM)

I hear about them occasionally, but in the absence of a dungeon or blatant SM play, I don't really see the point.

Quiet, private d/s play can be done in pretty much any environment. It's not clear to me what a d/s specific cruise could offer that would be different from any other cruise.

CelticPrince -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/17/2007 6:30:39 PM)

owned,

rest assured I have put feelers out to all the groups I have been associated with.

Ahhhh, Pirates. I used to be obsessed with Pirates when I was a young girl; I think the thought of what Pirates did to fair maidens was one of my earliest BDSM memories.

I would love to go on a D/s cruise, how fun!!

asubmissiveheart -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/17/2007 8:29:36 PM)

I would be interested in learning more about kink in the Caribbean.

becca333 -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/17/2007 8:35:23 PM)

Pirates AND ropes?  This sounds fantastic!

Whoa there, this is also a serious reply. I have in my distant past I held a USCG licence unlimited tonnage.

You pose possibilities that do not exist. a cruise with a D/s group aboard does not fortell yout antisipated problems. If folks want to meet in their cabins or suites for an exchange of ideas, it is their business, not the captains unless they endanger the ship.

So what if there is only 200 D/s folks on a 2000 passenger ship, it is the same as a business convention, conference rooms can be arranged for group discussions etc.
