DS4DUMMIES -> RE: A D/s Cruise (8/17/2007 6:15:18 AM)

Serious Response Given SOLAS and Coast Guard regulations (for US flagged/crewed vessels) and the "bondage" nature of a D/s cruise....no Captain or Officer of a ship like that should allow anyone to be bound or restrained while aboard, especially at sea. Allowing such things is asking for your license to be pulled if there is any sort of accident, and it's just not a safe thing to do. Most large cruise companies would I'd think shy away from a D/s cruise for safety and PR reasons. The best bet is a large charter yacht but even there, you need a cooperative set of officers. I can say unequivocally that I could not see myself allowing bondage on any vessel I commanded. Perhaps there are other professional mariners who differ on this... DS4 quote:
ORIGINAL: FangsNfeet I've disucssed BDSM cruise ship parties with various groups but alas, the lack of funds has been the big draw back for planning such events. If anything, the biggest problem has always been having enough people who can all go at the same time. Large Yahts and sail boat parties between 10 - 30 people are what normally take place. The idea of having a curise ship is much like booking a Hotel for a big event. A down payment will be needed followed by an aggreement that X amount of rooms will be used. Unless you can find a Kinky Billionair who owns a curise ship saying "Oh what the hell" Everyone will still have to pay for tickets. Does CM and Alt.com combined have enough active memebers to fill three fourths of a cruise ship? If so, how many can realisticly make it?
