Ahhh, you see, this is why I ask questions. So just based upon physical body changes, the lack thereof,  it is just assumed that he (Hank) didn't?

The knowledge of exercise techniques to optimize muscular hypertrophy were refined long before Hank came along... when you have people working out tirelessly, correctly and efficiently, and the most they can produce up until the middle of the 20th  century is the classic Greco-Roman/Charles Atlas/Sandow  type of physique, and then after performance boosters become widely available you see people putting in less time and effort, using crappy form, and getting incredible results almost overnight,....

Well, it might not be proof, but it will have to do until proof comes along.[;)]

I have this vision:  Bonds hits his 756th homer and the crowd is silent.  One person slowly stands up with a sign that reads:

 "...maybe"

More likely, a brawl will break out over who gets the ball, Lotus.

Dammit Level!  You just blew the pathos of it all :)

[:D]

Hey, I allowed myself to imagine Bonds retiring, one HR shy of tying Aaron, as a way of "showing" his critics something. Ah, I was wrong there......

as much as I dislike Bonds, regardless of the fact that he's a steroid using prick, baseball brought this on themselves by not taking a proactive stance much earlier.

You simply cannot compare the body of someone who is 18-22 and then compare that physique to someone who is mid thirties or beyond....With or without steroids the human body in most cases does tend to change and in some cases rather dramatically

The record should stand...Nothing can be proved and even if it is ...Was it illegal in the eyes of baseball?

If he was a Hell of a guy all of this would be much easier to swallow....One thing I will say for Bonds....He has not changed much in all of his playing days....He never received the endorsements....Never cow towed to the media...Kept his privacy....Never made himself out to be a role model....There is something kinda "sexy" about his approach....If nothing else it was always honest....He never portrayed himself to be something he wasn't aside from the supposed "steroid" use.

Agreed 100%.

Yesssss, but, those changes generally don't include the muscles swelling up like balloons. [:D]

The record should stand, without asterisk, unless he is proven to have used steroids. Illegal? I don't know, but it flies against whatever integrity the game has.

Yep. He comes across (and according to people that know him, it's not just our perception) as a huge ass. I do tip the hat to him for being true to himself, but "himself" isn't someone I'd ever want to be.
