Ok, yes, this comes from another thread........ The question is exactly what the opening line says. Why are you here on CM? Lots of us are here for different reasons...... but I'm interested in hearing the different reasons on why people are really involved on these boards. I'm even gracious enough to start. Personally, I'm here for a few different reasons. I happen to love the intellectual discussions here about the lifestyle. I enjoy reading the various topics and opinions of others (even when we don't agree). I learn a lot of new things here from people who do things differently than I do. I enjoy the camaraderie of people who like the same activities that I do. I like hearing how other people are implementing this into their lives. And, yes, I do happen to be seeking, so I like being here for that reason, too. (This, however, is NOT a troll thread!) I'm sure I'm leaving a lot of things out, because there are a lot of levels for which I want to be here. So, the question is, why are you here?

I'm here to pick up hot chicks. ~edited for poor grammer, and to add that I also enjoy stimulating conversation with other adults. I will be the first to admit that my life is sorely lacking in adult conversation. Pitiful existance that I live, I truly have no one else to turn to during the day to wonder on the odd thought that floats through my mind. Oh..and semi-hot chicks are ok too...so are couples...I could deal with picking up couples...ok..Ill admit..Im just here for sex...damn it you figured me out.

I am here to read, learn, share, have fun and most important of all.. because I can be here. Let me add, when I see what people are going through to meet someone, coming here makes me grateful for the loving relationship I cherish. I love you my Lady. : )

Well, there aren't any off-line BDSM communities were I live, as far as I know! I love to learn, and enjoy to meet friends.... and hopefully find the one, or both of the two :P

It seems to me people are not here now for the same reasons they initially joined. Did anyone join Collarme to debate things? I think most came here to find people then exchanged ideas here to help them find people. Then they either found someone or they gave up but because they had made friends or enjoy reading the debates etc. they stuck around. It’s just a website if you’d joined an unrelated site for similar reasons you’d probably still be there.

I met my Lady here, but I rarely even check the other side, no need to. I come here to debate and for the reasons listed by FullCircle.

Although my profile states i am seeking, truth be told i am not really. i do not hold my breath waiting for Him to come sweeping into my e-mail, on his white isp and move me to run from my pc to his arms to live happily ever after. ~grins~ i am here for the same reason as you state. i enjoy the boards and the conversations. i laugh at the drama, cry when another soul hurts, smile when the good things happen, and ocassionally just generally get pissed off at someone's stupidity. i very much enjoy learning. There have been more times than i can count that my opinion has changed about a topic simply because i learned something. :)

Level, thanks, because I knew I missed something. The humor. Definitely have to included the humor. Though it wasn't one of the reasons that I joined, I'd certainly put it in there as one of the reasons I stick around.

I joined for the forums.... I was collared long before I got here. I wanted the discussions of wiitwd, the sharing with like-minded people and the chance to learn from those not so quite like-minded. I've gotten all that and more from the people here.

You have to cut Me a little slack on that one, because I came from r/t first and on line much later. Let's just say I didn't put a lot of faith in the title. Now, I love the place!

I'm here because it was brought to my attention in an AOL chat room ( that I have frequented over the years ) that CM exisited and that there were many here who were open-minded and shared openly about their experiences and lives... I am here to listen (errr read), talk with others about their experiences, thoughts and ideas and perhaps share some of mine.. I love to learn and am at such an interesting age in my life...One of change and growth (again) ..and I find that I just can't seem to absorb enough knowledge? ever feel like a sponge? I love to talk with others about many things, the dynamics of this lifestyle being just one of them... thats where I am...just want to know more and experience more in the next 50 yrs than I did in the prior 50 ... My experiences through my submission the last 14 years have been life altering and eye-opening....I guess I look forward to wider eyes and more experiences and knowledge.. I am not seeking "someone". Altho' shortly after signing on someone did "find me"...stirred and shook me up like a martini and then dumped me down the sink ( she does love her metaphors lol ) ...but all happened rather quickly so no drama..no worse for the wear..just friendly reminder that Cyndi needs to be more alert... I learn quickly : ) so I re-defined my profile and am not "looking" in hopes not to be found right now... my life is in transition > preparing to move from one side of country to the other ( Ga to AZ ) and its just not the right time....someday, it will be again ... I enjoy reading all these posts ( well most of them lol ) and absorbing all that is shared.....thanks for being here and being open..
