Status: offline 		i have had an "interesting" upbringing and can blister a sailor's ass with "foul language". i can curse better than anyone i have met. i have tried hard to shake off this habit, and had only mild success. Truth be told, i saved my own ass as a kid with a mouthy disposition and i still think there are times when there just are no other adequate words for what i am trying to express. So when i stub my toe on the nightable in the middle of the night, i do not say "holy toledo!" i suppose i am just one of those peope who think even foul language can be witty and fun..and i hate to give it up entirely. (oddly, i do not "talk dirty" in bed, ROFLMAO.)

My Dom friends universally agree that it's highly disrespectful for a submissive woman to curse in the presence of her Dom. i want a lifetine collar, 24/7; living-in. So it is not as if i could just curb my mouth for the occassions when i am with Him. i would have to try and actually stop altogether.

How bad is cursing by a submissive? Might my Dom (should i ever find one) allow it, all things considered? Has anyone else faced this and learnt to stop cursing? How did you do it?

Everyone has their own preferences. I think language is powerful and cursing has its place within language. The Owner allows me to curse, and even finds it amusing when I do it during a scene because it shows my frustration and pain.

However, if I couldn't speak for 5 minutes without using lots of curse words, it would likely be a turn off for him and I'd not be the person he would want to own.

Like anything, there are no universals, what matters is finding someone that is compatible with you and who you will become.

Status: offline 		I had the same kind of "foul mouth", but that was because I had to. I drove trucks for 2 years, and with all the idiot men out there, it became norm for me.
I still do have my moments, espically when I'm really mad, but for the most part I have quieted down.
My Master allows it, but I don't really use it much when I'm with him. I've found that I don't have to, and it does really turn a person off when its used to extreme.
I'm not a Master, but I wanted to voice my opinion! I think you can find someone who doesn't mind, or can help you change.

Status: offline 		Well Let me start by saying there is nothing wrong with cursing when in the proper place... Cursing at a 5 year olds brithday might not be the best thing... but As far as I am conserend.... Its kind of cute when A submissive starts using her mouth... Its far better atleast then when a submissive just sits there and don't say a word. So it is very possable that your Dom will let you curse.. you are still human you know. And it can lead to some fun if you like to be punished... wink wink... But all in all if your only problem is that you curse then any Dom should be able to handle that. As far as stoping if you truly wanted to... I have no idea.. never felt the need to stop... wink

Status: offline 		I had such a lady like upbringing that I hardly ever curse, but my Master is from a country where they curse all the time, He normally doesn't cuss at me but when he does, for some reason I pick words to fling right back, He gets the BIGGEST kick out of shy well mannered me breaking out with a curse word or two..or three if I'm really offended with how He swore at me, normally He isnt even really meaning to do it, so my Master thinks it's beyond cute when I cuss, but even when He's encouraging me all I can hear is my mother telling me that young ladies do not use words like that...doesnt really give ya any advise though huh?

Just picture a statley lady sitting straight backed waving her finger and saying " Young ladies do NOT use words like this, it's unbecomming"

being brought up fundamental evangelical...to say " oh god" ws not only blasphamous but it got soap as punishment!!

when i met my man, i accidentally said a few cussand apologizes furiously..... he laughed at me and told me go ahead.
but there is a differnce.....
if i use F**k to curse it IS different than if i use it like i do mostly.
When he says "wtf" just the right way....i know to duck!

i did get in deep kakado when i said "oh that is shit" to a Physician about a month ago when he outright lied to me.

context is important.
not offending is important.

i have to literally NOT talk with my mom at times, she will DEMAND an apology.

Honestly...it depends on the wants of your future dominant. If they are okay with you blistering the asses of sailors, well then...have at it.

Personally, I don't mind cussing as long as it is used in an appropriate time and place. (But then, if I am feeling especially Evil..I may suddenly get offended by such dirty...dirty language and set about arranging an appropriate punishment.)

Status: offline 		We aren't allowed to swear. Master views cursing as low class and trashy, and rarely does it himself, particularly in mixed company. It is difficult to remember at times, particularly since v really knows how to curse properly and it tends to be catching

As with everything else, though, there simply is no "one way". There just aren't any standards, so none of these types of hypothetical questions have answers that are set in stone. Will he or won't he? Guess you will have to wait and see

*Edited to actually answer one of your questions <giggling>. As to how I stopped, he corrected the behaviour through various methods. He never let it slip past unnoticed or uncommented on. When the correction leaves enough of an impression, one thinks twice about repeating the behaviour.

i'm not allowed to curse. It slips, if i get carried away. i used to have a foul mouth as well. Terribly foul. But i just thought before i spoke and if i cursed (on my own) i would mentally think of a replacement.

IE heck

Just work on replacing them. slowly but surely
