jonslav -> Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/5/2007 4:56:36 PM)

I long to serve yet never able to connect with Dominant people other than Pro Doms are there any true livestyle people out there?

thetammyjo -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/5/2007 7:20:02 PM)

Same question I ask everyone who posts this same lament...

How are you looking? What are you doing?

Until you can provide specifics you will never get anything remotely useful as a response from anyone.

MHOO314 -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/5/2007 8:40:42 PM)

No, we have all gone home due to lack of true lifestyle people.

Nope.  The last lifestyler left.  They got tired of being here and listening to folks whine that there are no lifestylers here, so they uprooted and went to parts unknown.  Too bad LOL

Okay, but y'all forgot to leave me the address.   I supposed to stay behind with all these boys running amuck?    M

hahahahahahahah I could tell you to check your male (yes, male) but that'd be pretty useless, huh?!?

MsSophie -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/6/2007 4:57:55 AM)

I don't think your best bet of finding a partner is on a site like this, you're much better off checking out the various groups close to you. Check out http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/uk/munches/ for a munch close to where you are.
Informedconsent also has a nice community going, and I know many people who have met the love of their lives there!

If the way you presented yourself in this post is representative of how you approach people on the other side, that might be some indication.

MissIsis -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/6/2007 2:32:17 PM)

I agree with iammachine about the way you presented yourself on this post.  You say you long to serve.  Then, in the next & last part of your post, you pretty much say you doubt there are lifestylers on this site because you can't connect with them.

If you are not able to connect with any of us, rather than assume we aren't lifestylers, it would be much more beneficial to you to figure out what you can do differently to attract those of us who are looking for a male submissive.

I tried picking random names from the phone book, but that's hasn't worked well for me so far.

It really is a numbers game. Here where I live, in Montreal, I counted on this site well over 20 subs looking for dommes, but i could not find ONE single non-pro domme. All wanted tributes, or 'paying hommage'.

fungasm -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/7/2007 8:05:12 AM)

Imagine this differently... "I love French Food, but the only place I can find it is in a restaurant."  You want something- and you want something that most people pay for.  There may be one or two Mistresses out there who want someone "to serve" them, which often means the server wants to act out their own fantasies and constructs without giving back, just like there are cooks who like to cook just for the joy of it.  But most amateur French Cooks I know, just like the amazing lifestyle Dommes- want a human who is more than one aspect.  They want give and take- and an experience that isn't all one-sided.

If you want a relationship with a woman who is dominant, then work on all aspects of that relationship- and communicate and share and build a life together.

If you just want to serve (or eat) without reciprocating- there are many options, they just cost more.

Alison

I call bullshit.  I just did a search myself, and while there were shockingly more professed professional dominas, I found 3 of out 9 people in that search of just Montreal (and without searching province alone) who have all been online within 45 days.  Come on boys......in the words of Judge Judy, don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining!

Fuzzyboy17 -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/7/2007 4:06:49 PM)

Sorry, but I counted again today and found only one, and she does Ottawa as well. All this does not change the fact that the competition between subs for a D is high, even if for my part, I think that i am a sub with the right attitude- to service a D.

You are now in the realm where the Women do the hunting.  The best you can do is be unique in some way to catch their eye.

LadyPact -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/7/2007 5:08:21 PM)

How very odd.  I "connect" with lifestyle folks at every munch I attend.

LaMistressa -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/7/2007 9:03:39 PM)

Get out in your local community, eat your vegetables, and floss daily. This is how you meet true lifestyle people.*

*(Okay, the vegetables and the flossing are optional, but they are good for you, so do those too!)

Funny how there are people beyond the realm of the internet out there in the real world, huh? LOL

And I've personally BEEN to fetish and lifestyle events in Montreal, and I know I wasn't there at the event alone, or in the midst of 99% pro dominas (in fact, there were NO prodoms there to my knowledge.)  But hey, who am I and what do I know!?!?!

jonslav -> RE: Why is it so difficult to find a Master/Mistres (8/8/2007 4:03:39 PM)

Thank you all for your kind replies, I am not one dimensional and am most def do not top from the bottom, I do meet many people yet I find it very difficult to meet truly dominant people (not saying that Pro Doms are not) i like to be ordered about.

I was thinking the same thing.  The OP wasn't even engaging enough for me to desire to click on your profile.
