In other words Bill you are all grown up but can't yet communicate simple concepts clearly.  GREAT!!!!

"so many take for granted" except the all knowing and great Bill...we are so blessed to have you here to teach us, any chance you and Lady Hugs are friends?  We really need more people to show those of us who "take for granted" all of this and need the wisdom only you have.

Must have been a sale on soap boxes recently.

All respect to you Mame, but, I was saying that it is a process we all have to go thru to 1) learn about all the lifestyle involves. 2) Learn about what the submissive's want and need or desire. 3) Learn how to use each toy, tool or impliment even the oils or waxes that so many take for granted as we grow. I grew many years ago actually, sometimes I express or state what I meanin the wrong way and  it is misconveyed or misunderstood. I did not mean what you thought I did.

There was no misunderstanding on my part.  I clearly quoted what you said.  Perhaps you might slow down your posts and read out loud what you're about to send and hear that it says the same thing you're typing out.  Clear communications are key to surviving in this lifestyle!

RCdc -> RE: Apology to ALL!/ MIssPandora (8/6/2007 1:11:05 PM)

MisPandora didn't misunderstand you.  None of us did.  You fucked up your words by typing what you meant incorrectly - suck it up and move on and learn from your mistake.
I guess sugar coating aint gonna work...

Bill, As I responded to you, I checked on a couple of things.

1. Counting all your questions about things you infer newbies are too evidently inane to ask for themselves, you have posted approximately 63 times.
2. I've posted 1034 times in various threads on these boards.
3. Lucky Albatross has posted a whopping 13,292 times.
4. There are many others on these boards who have posted in boards as well varying numbers of times, many in the thousands.
5. CM has a search function for the too timid of newbies (just in case you then make the point that they may indeed not be inane but simply shy and afraid to ask.
6. Many of LuckyAlbatross' posts contain links to the specific questions that have been asked before you came along - as amazing at it may seem that ANYONE should have been here before you.
And finally:
7) Your apology is oddly reminiscent of the excuses my younger family members give when they get in trouble and try to find a logical excuse to explain their actions - when in fact, what they got caught doing was precisely what they were doing.

Honestly Bill, some of us are older than the minimum age for CM. We've been around a while and even if some are new, we're certainly not stupid. Nor do any of us need the kind of "help" you've been providing so magnaminously.

I'd bet that it's closer to the truth that you got caught engaging in the practice of being enamored with seeing your words in print and catered to that. It's pretty simple.

May I suggest that in the FUTURE, you read what others before you have asked on what may be the very same concern you're contemplating and read, listen, learn, and if you so choose, add your opinion, the benefit of your years of experience or whatever. You can even conduct your own search of what others have said before you.

But please, do not make the mistake of presuming that just because someone is a submissive that we're timid, stupid or inane. And most of all, please don't "help" us by being so condescending as to presume we don't have the brains or balls enough to ask what we'd like to know - all on our own. You might just be surprised at the level of experience and information we have - even as "lowly submissives" who apparently you believe need all the help we can get - especially from just anyone who wants to call himself a big bad dominant.

Oh, and as far as promoting interactions amongst people who are on CM...we've been doing that for a while. You are, quite frankly, the new kid on a very old block.

Number two to get people to interact with each other in all ways possible is why I posted them.

The irony to this is that you're posting this sentence on a kinky message board.  We've been interacting with each other in all ways possible long before you showed up.

you do come across as seeking titallating (sp) bits instead of real discussion.
You seemed to be directing everything towards fem subs in a way that asked for very personal responses.

*SNIP

I am rarely cynical nor sarcastic, but your questions were exactly as camille describes.  So I responded as I saw them...titilizing and seeking personal info to which I am no longer allowed to answer.
Besides that, they were belittling to those of us who do serve and submit because we want to.
Several times I thot, he needs to be asking HIS potential that, not us.

I have learned not to submit new posts, but join in the present course of discussion.  Whether my opinion counts or not is not up to me, I feel compelled to answer, if I do.

I do know that sometimes what I say or what I have on my profile on the other side does speak to a few, of which I appreciate their email on the other side.

Maybe informed posts that you submit would gather more appropriate responses.

This IS good discussion.
Growth over the years has taken a slow and painful process actually now that you mention that. Because growth can only happen if you directly involved in the lifestyle with a full time partner.
I would disagree ... for the sake of discussion.  Growth takes place in ones life to further them in ALL areas of their lives.  I dont believe one can necessarily progress in one area of life and leave another area free of touchablility.
For example...relating to people.  Relating to a submissive woman, is much the same as if you are relating to a woman co-worker.  Basic communication, relating at grass roots or at a high intellectual levels or discoursing toys or your philosphy of BDSM, D/s...learning to relate appropriate and well is of no change.

Each step is touchy learning first that as the Dom you must remain in control of yourself
Once again, a dominant, whether woman or man should always maintain some sort of control over him/herself, not just with a submissive, but in all walks of life.

and the situation your in and the submissive your with. Then learning the use of each toy, impliment, device can be pretty touchy too, unless you don't care about what your doing and rush in.
For instance, a tens unit and a violet wand for electric play, these devices can severly damage a person if used wrong or in the wrong place on the body, causing heart problems is not a way to a good time.
Also, impliments for spanking or whipping or cropping, takes a while to learn how to use each one, so your not inflcting damage on anyone and to pop em properly and control em. Same with cuffs which everyone wants to use and thinks are so hot to play with but if you don't double lock them they can hard someone also.
Dominance is not your toys.  They are something specialized you learn because you enjoy them...for whatever reason.  The same way you learn and change in regards to learning how to change your oil or use of difficult tax forms ...  I believe all of life and the process of learning is taken at the same levels if there is predictable need to learn and know and use the knowledge to further ones self.

We ...as in all of us...at somepoint or another, sometimes compartmentalize BDSM and D/s from our lives in general.  They are intertwined.

Believe it or not, I have learned alot about myself and how I respond or react here...  to posts, people, attitudes, beliefs and have found that in my job, I have often done the same without even realizing it.

I havelearned much about myself and how I poist here

peace

This is not even called for Michael.  I am sorry Sir.  If I had found my name here, I would have said the same thing.  She has nothing to do with THIS discussion.  How you feel about her otherwise is pointless to vocalize here when she has not even partaken of this discussion.
Giving your opinion of her behind her back when she knows nothing of this discussion is beneath you Sir.

what everyone else has said : )  Plus, I would like to add > if your intent was to ignite some conversations> be apart of them.....its nice that you pose the questions ( try not doing that rapid fire style..some of us are old and it wears us out ) but also add YOUR ideas and thoughts so we can get to know you as well....

The apology was a nice start...

What she said *S*

SimplyMichael -> RE: Apology to ALL!/ MIssPandora (8/6/2007 4:33:14 PM)

Believe me, Lady Hugs knows exactly why I think she is a complete fraud, I have told her in public and private.

LadyLynx -> RE: Apology to ALL!/ MIssPandora (8/6/2007 4:33:56 PM)

TOS-Terms of Standard. [:D]  I haven't read many threads by you, Bill, but what I have read, well kinda bored me.  Not the subject matter, but the way that your sentences were structured. Made my eyes hurt.  And while it's cool that you wanted us to interact, well like others have said, We do.  Maybe or maybe not to your standard of interaction, but that is a moot point.  And it is good that you apologized, though got to tell ya, it did sound alittle childish like Juliet pointed out.  Cheers!

LadyLynx -> RE: Apology to ALL!/ MIssPandora (8/6/2007 4:35:08 PM)

Hmm I'm curious now.  I've always liked what Lady Hugs has to say.

Hi givmemyall,

I'm a habitual fast-reply user.  When I respond directly to someone, I usually greet or name them in my post.

If I don't name anyone, I'm not speaking anyone in particular.  I hope that clarifies.  Have a lovely evening
