Often I see the words Grace, Wisdom, in describing another, or as an attribute of preference for another.
What do these things mean to you? What IS a state of Grace or Wisdom? Are they things that are aquired, and only by certain actions or select people?
Your thoughts?

They are attributes of humility.
Both are given without thought.  Both are only recieved when one already contains it within them.  And neither will be forced, stolen or abused unless destroyed.
And those that have either, will never be aware they do.

Not an easy question. Grace to me has a lot of meanings, how the person acts/presents themselves despite their feelings. A generosity of spirit maybe? An aunt comes to my mind, she was always dressed to the nines but was the same towards everyone. Always polite and aware of others.
Wisdom is for me an aquired body of knowledge that spans a multitude of subjects letting the person make able judgements and assumptions. Judgement and assumption are two things normally torn apart here but I am not meaning them in that negative way. A child assumes the world is about them, an adult (hopefully haha) assumes that the world is pretty much unaware they even exist. Wisdom is a type of awareness garnered through life experiences.
I think both are aquired as one learns and grows.

Interesting topic and I wish I had more time to put my thoughts in order but that is my off the cuff answer.

To me, the older I get the more I realize how completely clueless about almost everything I am.  I do not know if this is wisdom.

I had an epiphany the other day, in somewhat of a blue funk from my injury, and realized that of all attributes I hold most dear to my heart, and diligently attempt to live up to, the words "I accept" spring to mind.  That is a state of what I call grace.  The ability to keep my chin up and not allow the world to drag me down into a negative place.

As far as showing grace to other people.  I can be polite and nice and care for those, even if I find them as individuals to be repulsive or reprehensible.  We are all together here.  We all find our way from here together.

Just me, could be wrong, but there you go.

Keep me away from the wisdom which does not cry, the philosphy that does not laugh, and the greatness that does not bow down before children.

I've always thought wisdom was the ability to recognize how little we really know and grace the ability to love what we do know. But then again i'm still a youngun so i'll probably change my mind next week.
