ORIGINAL: CreativeDominant I like windchyme's answer. [:)] Seriously though...people are different. As kyra noted, the fact that we all on here share an interest in either D/s or BDSM or both...things not openly accepted by society...does not mean that within "our" group that we are all going to agree with things that are said. My definition of what submission is means something to me and may mean nothing to 95 out of 100 submissives or dominants reading it. 4 of the rest might think I am full of it...and 1 might agree. The same with any other topic. Which is why a lot of times you will see disclaimers...as noted in a special thread about disclaimers...proclaiming MOO, YMMV, or "refers to my situation and my thoughts only", etc.. And let's face it...the way that some posts or threads are stated, the poster is almost setting themselves up for a knock by being pretentious or attempting to flame certain folks/ideas right from the start. I just figure people in the lifestyle (or any other alternative lifestyle not accepted by society) would be..... less likely to flame. That we (generalized term) would have a more "okay thats your kink- this is mine". Because we know what feels like for our ideas/ways of living/thoughts/etc to be looked upon as "beneath certain people". How many of us have to hide our lifestyle choices from our close family/friends... I for one, will never come out (again) and tell a friend about my lifestyle choices unless I know they are ok with them, no matter how open minded they seem. I have a lost what I thought was a really good friend because I did that. LA's right though, better I learned early rather than later.
