Mark Morford is one of my most favorite columnists and this article was worth sharing....

Canada's gay marriage bill finally made it through the contentious House of Commons and is expected to sail through the Senate almost immediately and become federal law by July, and then gay marriage will be perfectly legal across the entire country, doubtlessly and permanently and forevermore.

Yes, it already passed making us the 3rd country in the world to legalize gay marriage! I am very proud to be living in this country right now with all the major steps forward we are taking! :)

That's so cool. My sister-in-law's sister, who also was my roommate in college, is a lesbian who has lived with her partner in Canada for about 15 yrs now. I hope they marry.

In all seriousness, I'm itching to get away from this country. Tyrannical, puritans ruling with iron fists... new Supreme Court Justices coming in... probably extremists, hand picked by Dictat... er... President -shudders- Bush... I wish he'd choke on a pretzel.

I can only imagine the hell he's going to unleash upon this country in the next three years.
