How do I know you love me?
Is it in the hateful glare I so often recieved when I disturbed you?
Is it in your words?
Do I read between the lines?
How can I find love in?
`You will never be good enough'
`You can't get anything right'
`Who would ever love you?'
Can I find it in your actions?
Your frequent dissappearances?
Having dinner under the table?
Being chased with a coat hanger?
Or Can I find it in the welts and bruises that have long since healed, but still scar my psyche?

How can I ever know?

Can You Relate

I’ve heard women called names, some were just not right.
Now it’s time for me to shed some light with this plight.
They say you can’t turn a hoe into a housewife.
If that is true, how can I be a husband after being a dog my whole life?
As a teen I can remember thinking, I’ll never be alone.
But in this dance meant for two, I find myself on my own.
How many people out there can relate to how I feel?
How many with lonely hearts, how many with lives that stand still.
All because of how they were treated when youth once rang true.
I’ll confess to you right now, I’ve never known true love, and I have been cruel.
A lot of broke promises, but no signs from My heart or up above.
I’ve gone from the way I was to what I am now.
A lonely broken man, crying tears of a clown.
Alone I stand no more proud and no more strong.
Finally over come those wrong trainings.
A good man now indeed, but alone for so long.
Any love for Me, Im sure you would feel it wrong.

Can you relate??
